Being schizophrenic isn't an abomination, so that is not really an accurate comparison.   Being gay or transgender IS abominable because both pervert God's design for human sexuality.

Do you know what else is abominable? Wearing clothing of mixed fabrics and eating shellfish.

Yes it is. Just like homosexuality, transgenderism is a ultimately a spritiual problem not a physical one.

No, they are not.    The word abomination that is used with shellfish and mixed fabrics is "sheket" in Hebrew  and refers to ritual impurity.

When God calls homosexuality an "abomination"  He uses the word, "to-ayvah" in Hebrew which refers to what God hates, what garners His wrath and contempt.   God hates homosexuality in the strongest terms.

There are physiological problems yes, associated with sin,

just like someone sleeping with someone else's wife might claim he can't control himself,

but the result of sin is still death.

God has one design and one plan for human sexuality.   It's really simple.   One man marries one woman and they stay married until they die.  Sex occurs exclusively in that marriage covenant.  God does not allow for human sexuality to be expressed in any other type of human relationship.    God has designed us as either male or female.   He is not in error, and no amount of pretending that one is a man inside a woman's body or vice versa, is going to change reality.

Transgenderism is a perversion of God's plan as is homosexuality.   No one is born the wrong gender.  We live in a fallen world and that which perverts God's plan for human sexuality is called "sin."  It is a spiritual problem that only God can remedy.   There are no  treatments or surgeries or anything else in the world that can answer the problem of sexual sin.   The problem is only answered through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   People who are gay or are transgender need a relationship with Jesus and that begins with repenting of their sin and coming to Christ by faith and receiving His gift of eternal life and the Holy Spirit who will make them a new creation.

Until we come to grips with the sin problem, the issue of transgenderism is going to plague the lives of many people and they will never know peace until they encounter the Prince of Peace.

No, but getting saved and finding Jesus WILL make gender disphoria go away and go away permanently.

Can you explain why then there are Christians whose gender disphoria was not miraculously healed? Being saved doesn't mean that we will be cured of all illnesses.

I cannot give anyone a blanket statement of approval like you ask.  If you wish, you can PM me.

I don't have much interest in writing something that's probably going to be removed. The last time I shared a link (which offered both conservative and liberal interpretations), the entire thread was moved to a forum I can't access, and my requests for access were ignored.

It's a difference in translation. Switching out the terms does not change the meaning of my post.

Lack of self control has nothing to do with this. Trans people can't magically prevent themselves from getting gender disphoria.

One man and one woman, just like all those examples given to us in the Old Testament with godly men having multiple wives?

There are people who are born with both male and female genitalia, and even with mixed XX/XY DNA. Do you think God made a mistake when they were created?

So far the issue of transgenderism mostly seems to bother religious conservatives. The trans people are pretty happy unless they get assaulted, fired, raped, murdered, or discriminated against.
