The thread on burgers inspired me to start a thread on pizza.  What's your favorite pizza?  Do you have more than one "favorite?"  Do have a pizza place you prefer over others (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Pappa John's)?  Include toppings, crust stile, etc.

I'm blessed to be surrounded by amazing pizza.  My favorite companies are Aurelios, Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders, Lou Malnatis.

Pizzas: Spinach (alone), Giardiniera Peppers (alone), or Pesto Sauce/Sun Dried Tomatoes.

Thin crust.

I have to see this discussion when I'm thinking of whats for dinner.

My favorite is thick crust, with slices of big boy tomatoes, black olives, mushrooms, and chunk pepperoni. The stuffed cheese crusts are delicious because the crust can be broken up and dipped in a side of sauce.

Well sure, they are far better tasting than inorganic toppings.

Inorganic toppings tend to smolder and even catch on fire.

Yes but the question is what kind of pizza, in other words, the specific kind of toppings and crust style, things like that.

We have a place in town called "McSalty's Pizza"  and it is pretty neat place.  They are famous for their whole wheat crust, which is seasoned and is really, really good.  They also have live music in the evenings, mostly light jazz and folk style music.  It's not like your average pizza joint.  It's pricey, but you get what you pay for.  It is worth it now and again to go.

I would like to try a real Chicago style pizza :D

I love this type of pizza. I just can't them because they just weight too much on my stomach. Plus I am trying to lose weight. But boy this pizza looks really, really good.

I remember living in Mississippi and there was a mom and pop pizza shop about 2 miles from where we lived. They served a Chicago style pizza that was awesome!. Once sliced seemed to weight about 2 lbs or so. The whole pizza weight about 15lbs or so. That thing was so loaded with cheese and the toppings were great. The calorie counts on one slice was through the roof.

Pizza is just great. I prefer Papa Johns over all the other joints. We have a local place that is pretty good. They are too expensive to get pizza from most times.

Hi there shiloh. Good question. Pepperoni all the way for me. Either Pizza Hut or Pizza Express in terms of eating in. I enjoy Pizza Express frozen pizzas.

Oh and I forgot to add...  What is your opinion of frozen pizzas?   Any of those that you like?

I like to buy Walmart Deli pizzas and add extra topings!
