Finally may this be an encouragement and exhortation to us all.

`Let no one defraud you of your reward.......and not holding fast to the Head from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase which is from God......

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. set your mind on things above, not on the things on the earth, for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.` (Col. 2: 18 & 19,  3: 1 - 4)

A  wonderful exhortation from the Apostle Paul to the believers in the Body of Christ. This earth is not our home and we are just passing through, and one day we shall appear with the Lord in glory to rule and reign with Him there.

Is that all?

In summation, everything about the Millennium as described in the Bible, is about what happens on earth, not in heaven.  The Bible doesn't really talk about the Millennium relative to Heaven.    The book of Revelation doesn't even mention the millennium until chapter 20.  Everything it says about the millennium is related to the earth, and nothing about how the book of Revelation describes it ever pertains to anyone in Heaven.

The OT prophets describe the millennium or Messianic Kingdom in terms only in reference to the Messianic peace that will come upon the earth.   It starts in Israel and radiates around the whole earth.   The prophets describe the state of the nations, and their worship of God at the Messianic temple mentioned in Ezekiel, they describe a radical change in the animal kingdom, they describe a partial lifting of the universal curse of sin that is upon the whole world.  People will not suffering common illnesses, there will be supernatural health and long lives reminiscent of the long lives people lived before the flood.

The role of "Messiah" is not related to Jesus' ministry to the Church, nor  does Jesus operate in this office either during the Church age, or in Heaven.  Every description of Jesus' role as Messiah pertains to a unique relationship that Jesus has with the nation Israel.  All of Messianic prophecy is fulfilled on earth.  The throne of David upon which Jesus will reign is never described as being in heaven, otherwise, we would find any mention of Jesus' reign in Heaven as fulfilling that prophetic office.  All Messianic prophecy including the reign of Jesus during the Millennium is only referenced in earthly terms in Scripture.  The throne of David is located on the earth per Ezek. 43:7.

There are types of believers mentioned as being on the earth Revelation 5:10 describes the elders in Heaven as claiming that they will reign on the earth.   The grammar is undeniable, these saint will reign on the earth.   Marilyn admitted early in the debate that the 24 elders in the book of Revelation represent the Church.    The 24 elders represent the raptured Church in Heaven during the Tribulation. And according to Rev. 5:10, they (we)  will reign upon the earth.   The 2nd group of believers to reign with Jesus are the Tribulation saints who died during the Tribulation and will raised during the first resurrection (Rev. 20:5-6).

It is plainly understood that we will reign on the earth with Jesus' during the Millennium.   The passages that Marilyn provides are related to the Church age and in many cases refer to the current spiritual position of Church, not the Millennium and it is inappropriate to take those passages and relate them to something they were not intended to address.

Summing up: Does the Body of Christ rule on earth in the millennium?

The millennium is not an isolated time, but part of God`s overall plan to bring every rule and authority under Christ. It is God`s eternal plan. (Eph. 1: 9 & 10)

As God`s word tells us, Christ will be enthroned in the highest place in all God`s kingdom. He is invested with all authority, all power, over every dominion and rule. And it is from there that He rules, through the tribulation, through the millennium till all authority and power has come under His sovereign sway. (Eph. 1: 20 & 21)

The Body of Christ has been promised that they will rule and reign with Christ from His seat of power in the third heaven. They do not return to this sinful, fallen earth, as Shiloh says, for that is not the `on top` calling, they were promised. (Phil.3: 14  Rev. 3: 21)

One of the many titles of the Lord, as Shiloh points out, is the Messiah to Israel, and thus He rightfully rules over Israel in the millennium. Setting up the earthly part of God`s great kingdom, He anoints a regent king, David, plus priests to be teachers and judges. Israel will learn to obey the Lord and rule righteously.

The Lord continues to rule from the highest place, till every realm comes under His authority and power, the last enemy being, death. (1 Cor. 15: 23 - 26)

Thus we see the Lord Jesus Christ, the Sovereign ruler of God`s great kingdom, king of kings, and Lord of lords, far above all, in this age and the one to come, as God`s word says.
