(Worthy News) - The White House said Thursday that it wants to see money for President Trump’s border wall included in the spending bill Congress must pass next week — a demand Democrats said sours negotiations and makes a government shutdown more likely.

The demands mark a reversal for the administration, which had been saying it found enough money to build prototypes this year and wouldn’t need a major infusion of cash until next year.

But White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday that the wall and the money for more immigration agents are priorities. [ Source ]

I think the government was created by those who were afraid of government and has set in the very structure that allows it to be shut down by those who thing they are the government, instead of a part of it.  The same thing is going on in Government is the same thing that is happening in this site. A clash of personalities. The one thing good about here, is there are staff members to regulate our activity. In government all they have is the media and those constituents who care more about their own desires than the government working, because according to them. If the government isn't pleasing them, then it's not working at all, so what do they care about anyone else being discomforted by it being shut down.

I locked this thread until I, or another admin can review it. It took no time at all to turn this thread on a news story into a party debate or Trump bash.

Is there even one news story where people can discuss the news without hijacking the thread into your favorite debates?

I cleaned up the mess and reopened the thread.  Let's stay on topic an discuss the issues in the OP and not hijack the thread again or it will be removed completely.  Remember, debate the subject, not the person or group of people.
