There are distinct and very specific steps taken when an harassment claim is made.  These steps vary little from company to company.   The process WalMart uses is almost identical to that of the Fed Govt. 

How can you sit there behind your computer and say what occurred or didn't occur?  You were not there and your argument is completely without any basis.  Arguing for the sake of arguing is just noise.

Some stories are too far off from reality to be true.   Irregardless of what company they might have been working for nobody gets fired for making a single comment about a nose.  It just does not happen, and these sorts of urban myths need to be stamped out as they do damage to people that have been the victim of actual sexual assault.

Oh really?  Well let me tell you of a first hand firing I witnessed at my company....over a Diet Coke.  Yes, that really happened; the manager fired a machinist for going  into the office refrigerator and taking a Diet Coke from a 12=pack.  It happened, I was there.  So no way I would doubt someone could get fired for a comment that hit some manager the wrong way.

This shows you don't know the working world as well as you think; some smaller companies don't even HAVE an HR dept. and I have worked for several of them. If you were being harassed your only option would be to quit or just put up with it.

Theft almost always leads to firing, it is not the same thing at all.  I fired people for stealing Lunchables and for taking other people's food out of the break room.  Theft cannot be tolerated because the person that takes the Diet Coke will take more when given the chance. 

That is no comparison to a single comment on someone's nose.
