It appears both sides are rattling the sabres very loudly...hopefully this situation can be defused before it boils over.  There is a LOT of kill power on and around the Korean Peninsula at the moment.

I know it's selfish on my part, but for my grand kids sake i say if we are going to have to fight them, better to do it there and before they get deliverable nukes.

Not selfish at all, OO; I'm sure most of us would like to see this threat resolved BEFORE it'a a nuclear one.

Does it seem a bit off that nobody that is pushing for the war would be the ones fighting it?

How do you know that?  Have you asked any soldiers/sailors/Marines what they think?  Who are those pushing for 'the war'?  What war?

Yes to Sailors and Marines and even Airmen.  None want to go to war with NK, especially those that have any experience in that part of the world and understand the situation.

We do not know for sure, but odds are good that N. Korea was discussed when President Trump and the Chinese leader met recently.

It's not in China's interest that North Korea attack the US in any way, shape or form.  Therefore, it's not going to happen.

Blessings,

-Ed

I think that the fact China suddenly was no longer a currency manipulator is a good sign that NK was discussed and some deal was struck.

I would also point out that it is not in China's, or Russia's, interest that the US attack NK in any way, shape or form and I can image that was discussed with China also.

I doubt if the administration is overly concerned with the 'best interests' of China and Russia, RG.  The goal of our government should always be the best interests of the AMERICAN people.  A nuclear capable N. Korea doesn't fit into that.  As for the currency manipulation thing; sometimes you have to give to get.  That's how the world works.
