If it is a rental why don't you just give the landlord a call and let him deal with it?

I will eventually do that.

I can hardly believe that this thread has gone on for 6 pages!

Is it fixed yet?

People are hungry on Worthy for something fresh to post on. And to harass the Muffet.

Well, I did it now. By banging on the shower head bolt like I was told to do and trying to get that stupid thing off I bent it. Now the shower head does not point in the middle of the shower like it did before. girl14-smiley.gif

Get a wrench and tighten it on that area where you unscrew it as tight as you can get it. You will have to push up or down to get it to budge. I would try and get a small bottle of olive oil and try to oil that hinge, then wipe the excess off. You're gonna have to use as much muscle as you can. It's possible both the socket and thread rusted together. I'd also get a hammer and try to knock that rust out or budge the shower head. It's very hard to do with your hands, that's why I suggest getting a tight solid wrench on that thing and push hard. Vinegar and baking soda work like an acid combo on rust and calcium deposits as well.

Heat and penetrating oil is what mechanics use for pesky stuck bolts.

Sometimes trying to tighten slightly, to break rust off, then loosening works also.

Ever so slightly!

Mouse Milk Amazon.com

Most of those shower head pipes are kind of brittle, and if you try and Bend it back it may well break.
