(Worthy News) - US President Donald Trump has succeeded in persuading Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas to make the kind of concessions that will enable the diplomatic process to move forward, World Jewish Congress President Ron Lauder told Israeli politicians at The Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York.

Lauder is the Jewish leader closest to Trump: their families have been friends for decades; he has free access to the president; and he has advised him on how to advance diplomatic initiatives in the Middle East. He also has built up ties with Arab leaders for decades and was Netanyahu’s unofficial envoy to Syria in the latter’s first term as prime minister.

Behind the scenes at the conference, Lauder briefed ministers Naftali Bennett, Ayelet Shaked and Ofir Akunis, as well as opposition leader Isaac Herzog on his impressions from talking to Trump about how to solve the Israeli- Palestinian conflict. [ Source ]

Will he be able to get them to agree with a Jewish State.  I don't think so.  If he did Hamas would kill him.

Peace to a muslim happens when the whole earth is subject time Sharia Law.  Not until these can there be peace.  This is what the Koran, Sharia Law and the hadiths teach.

When it is necessary for the sake of the Muslim, you can make a treaty, but not for longer than 10 tears.

When I read about possible peace in Jerusalem, all I can think of is 1 Thessalonians 5:1-8

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.  But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.  Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.  For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.  But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

What Trump is going to discover is that you can't trust a Muslim, especially a Muslim terrorist like Abbas.   Any agreement he makes to concessions is a lie, just like all of the other concessions the PA agreed to in the past.  They are liars, pure and simple.

The PA needs to be destroyed, pure and simple.  They cannot be negotiated with as serious peace partners.

I don't think we the people have the stomach for that.

It's Israel's job, not ours.  Israel should have destroyed the PA a long time ago.

If President Trump can bring true diplomacy to the situation there and with Abbas, God bless him.

And I agree, raising Palestinian children in a culture of peace under Sharia is not the kind of peace western free Christians would agree with.

It's the propaganda that we've been fed here for the last decade at least. Islam is a religion of peace. Omitted is the post script as other one mentioned. Peace with Islam being when the whole world is either converted to Islam, or agree to be ruled by the tenets of Sharia . Including the Jizyah.

I still cringe when I happen on YouTube video's that feature "former" Christian women who converted to Islam. Oh, now they're just soooo happy and at peace.

Yeah, that's because you're a western former Christian and a woman living in Manhattan! Not Saudi Arabia.
