Living Waters......Jesus Jesus Jesus ......Praise Jesus! The Master is Christ Jesus,The Way the Truth & the Life
Blessings, Kwik ... I've been enjoying some of the music I listened to when I was young in my faith. I used to listen to these old southern gospel songs as much as possible... when I was a baby Christian, I'd spend hours in my room with my Bible, running cross references in my Bible, writing out pages and pages of Scriptures ... then, listening to those old songs (they weren't old back hen, lol) ... and I'd write the words down to the songs in notebooks... I still have those somewhere, I think ... hours spent in prayer, pouring my heart out to the Lord .... those were intense days and yet so blessed in many ways ... I was like a sponge ... I think we're meant to stay like that, no matter how old we get in the Lord, you know?
1. I once lived in a valley, it was dusty and dry
There were souls lost and dying on every side
Nothing was growing in that burning sand
and I was begging for a way out of that barren land
Now, I was thirsty and searching when a voice tenderly
said I'll give you water if you'll follow Me
He showed me the fountain, led me up to the brink
where living waters were flowing and He gave me a drink
Yes, living waters were flowing and He gave me a drink
And when I drank living waters from the Master's supply
He brought me out of death valley, now I'll never die
One drink from that water freed my soul from sin
And I'll ever go back to death valley again
2. No, I'm so glad the One who gives all life and breath
had mercy on me in that valley of death
The water He gave me brought sweet peace within
And He promised I'd never get thirsty again
Now, He orders my steps by a clear peaceful stream
And He makes me to lie down in pastures so green
Now, when I complain that I've had a hard way
He just brings to memory those death valley days
My God - He brings to memory those death valley days
[repeat 2 x's]
Thank God, I'll never go back to death valley again!
Though I walk in the valley of death, I shall not fear.
