After writing it he had a lot of enemies. Because tabbaco was one of the biggest crops of that time. One of his biggest enemies was Anthony Weldon, who had to be excluded from the court. Weldon swore he would get even with James. So around 1650 after King James had died he made up a lot of lies about King James to destroy his character. If those stories are going to be used to discredit the KJV of the bible. I would say rubbish!! King James did not translate the bible or have anything to do with it except commission it. so whether he was a heretic or a raging homosexual. Another thing too is that his bedroom would have been heavily guarded; what is the likelihood that the guards would have kept their mouth shut if any of the stories were true.
