I like the idea of reading what you can take in and then stopping. And even rereading till I get something out of it. We have had a dripping tap for a while (which is now sorted out), but that gave me an appreciation for a person who nags being compared to a dripping tap.

It is such a blessing too that one can read and reread a passage and each time, something different stands out.

Different strokes for different folks.

We are all individuals.

I agree with Annette and (who ever she quoted), the Holy Spirit teaches us individually and in unique ways. Some are mega readers and swallow the Bible whole in a few sittings. It took me years with cassette tapes I wore out (the entire Bible in 72 hours) plus reading plus studying etc.

Thy Word Oh Lord have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you...

Hi, Reading? As in a book rather than a Bible verse passage or book of the Bible?

Absolutely nothing right now. For I am awaiting the arrival of Clarence Larkin's "Dispensational Truth". It was out of print  but  the publisher was to print last week.

I have scheduled myself to have a full two months leave of absence from work , and intend to do  some reading studying and relaxing. So  please continue to share. I'm looking for reading ideas. Thanks

Thanks. JohnD, I knew a family who used to use the Bible on tape and had speakers set up throughout the house. So in the morning everyone could wake up and hear the Word. I have often wondered about listening to the Bible as another way to learn what the Bible says. Trust you have a great day.
