I doubt Trump's critics will declassify so many of this nation's secrets that no other country will share intel with us.

Are you trying to set up a straw man again?  This stuff is so redundant.

As I previously posted:

"As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) which I have the absolute right to do...."

Can you find "absolute rights" anywhere in the US Constitution?

Can you find 'abortion rights' or 'gay marriage rights' in that Constitution?  Not there.  Yet the SCOTUS has ruled that those rights exist, wrongly  I might add.  The point is, a right pf a President is not necessarily spelled out but is still there.  Your arguments are just going in circles, OS2.

No POTUS has absolute authority in a government with checks and balances.

You're insisting on something that does not exist in evidence in this thread. Repeating your stanza does not make it anything to do with President Trump or any President in U.S. history.

And what an appropriate quote given the history of Augustine, who was influenced to his theological standpoint by Manichaeism and Platonism. Which isn't anything to do with this discussion at all.

The Bible is clear as to the Christian's responsibility to governing authorities. Rebuke it at your peril. God's word stands eternal.

Check your Constitution. No POTUS has "absolute" authority.

Trump is just as wrong to tweet that he has "absolute rights."

And two wrongs don't make one right.

As do I, OS2, but the 'absolute' being discussed refers to the President, any President.  And the classification/declassification  trail ends with the POTUS.  Arguing otherwise is just going in circles.  And it is derailing yet ANOTHER thread.

How am I derailing anything by insisting that "essentially unlimited" isn't absolute?

Ignoring facts so as to repeat falsehoods doesn't make one right.

In matters of context concerning national security and the threat of Islam to all nations, Trump has every right to say he has the absolute right to declassify those materials and share them with Russia. Or any nation that is targeted by Islam. Because that is true. Whether someone wants to accept the Bible and God's admonition about obedience to governing authorities, the law itself that gives a President that right has existed since Bush43. That's an absolute fact. Ignoring that fact doesn't show President Trump is committed to wrong doing.

Facts are only "immaterial" if you don't have any on your side.
