“I have nothing against homosexual people.

"It’s a marriage, we’ve been married 50 years this year and I think if people read the first two chapters of the Bible, they see what marriage is all about that it’s a covenant of God and God ordained it.

"I think our young people need to know that."

Court said she would take her fight “into the boardrooms” of companies who supported same-sex marriage.

“I’d like to go into their boardrooms and tell them why it’s so important," she said.

"With homosexual people, they can live their lives and live it whatever way they please, but don’t touch marriage between a man and a woman, because children need a mother and a father and that’s the way it was ordained in the beginning and we should look at that and value that.

 “Our church, we have many cultures, homosexual people from many nations of the world and I think we need to know that the foundations of this nation is built on biblical principles and constitutions.

“When we move away from God’s values and morals and things such a decline starts to come in a nation.

“I think if Qantas don’t stop bullying other companies and banks and everybody and we see it now happening all over the place I think it’s very wrong I think individual people should have their say and you know its not just Christianity, there’s wonderful people out there from all backgrounds who have values and morals and just like me they don’t agree in gay marriage and it shouldn’t come in with marriage and that’s how I feel.”

Court, a 74-year-old senior pastor at Perth's Victory Life Church and critic of same-sex marriage for decades, said in the letter she had proudly promoted Qantas during her days "of never losing a tennis match while playing for my country".
