Researcher Dr Robert Naviaux of the San Diego School of Medicine gave suramin, a drug first developed in 1916, to 10 autistic boys between the ages of five and 14, and noted transformative results.

Oddly enough the only place I have found this reported was on RT.

I find that oddity in many cases.     Maybe the anti vaccine people just didn't want to talk about it.

Interesting, Suramin has been used for several different treatments, even cancer:

Not odd at all,  considering that there are thousands of buried reports concerning autism,   its causes and prevention and cures ,  many before 1950,  and many more after that,

just like for other problems.    When the drug reps were asked why they (the know, proven, preventions or cures) weren't being made available,  they said all the time , practically, "it can't be patented"; (we want the money);

i.e. without any concern at all how well it worked.....
