I know it's talking about Daniel! But obviously the author of the article doesn't know that the people of the prince which Daniel spoke about in 9:26 and identified as Libyans and Ethiopians in 11:43, are the people whose chief prince is Gog, in Ezekiel.

Daniel doesn't mention Gog.  There's no reason to associate Daniel 9:26 with 11:43, or Ezekiel 38-39.  I think you do that because of 'word association.'

There wasn't any need for him to mention Gog seeing how both he and Ezekiel rightly identified the man of lawlessness as being the people of African descent (Libyans and Ethiopians).

"The people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" (Daniel 9:26).

Above is a line from the verse in Daniel 9:26. Below is a link to a VERY long article. My question is If anyone knows of anything to refute the information on the page in the link. I have always believed that the verse above ( that line especially ) is talking about those who are the Anti-Christs people and therefore an indication of where the Anti-Christ will rise up from. I was hoping someone could take the time to read the article in full ( it's very long I know, sorry) and discuss anything to confirm or deny this position and the " facts " that they put forth. I can find nothing to refute what they are saying. Looking for someone to see if there is something wrong with the facts they present about the makeup of the people who destroyed the temple in 70 AD that I missed. I invite any and all discussion on this ( Anti-Christ and his people) just please read the article at the link first.

I posted this information on another thread a couple of weeks ago.

This should be enough evidence to refute the theory of the a/c arising out of a revive Roman Empire. During the height of the Roman empire, it grew so large that it's kingdom had to be divided into two divisions, the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. The legions that invaded Jerusalem during 70 AD were not from the Western division, the legions from actual Rome.

It was the Eastern empire with legions mainly made up of people who were employed by Rome that are ancestors of the people today who are the Arab Muslims of the Middle East.

https://www.ancient.eu/Western_Roman_Empire/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Roman_Empire

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine_Empire

Below is a copied and paste of my posts.

=================================================================

This is the Romans Empire at the height of it's kingdom. He can come from a country today that is located within any part of the Roman Empire back then and fulfill the prophecy of Daniel 9:26. Don't know how many knew this but some of the Roman legions employed that helped conquered Jerusalem were not from the area of Rome but lived elsewhere within the empire.

One big clue I found given in the bible are the names of the countries that form the coalition against Israel in Ezekiel 38. The a/c leads the invasion and is from one of those country. That should help narrow it down for you guys.

Just my opinion.

I didn't want you guys to think I made up a story about the Roman Legions not being from Rome so I had to go dig this up information since I can't remember where in my files I kept the old information.

This first link is a pretty good read with some good information.

“All said, the historical evidence is overwhelming. After examining a sampling of evidence from both ancient historians as well as the most cutting-edge modern scholarship to date, we may very confidently conclude that the ‘Roman’ soldiers in the Eastern provinces that destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple were in fact Eastern peoples – the inhabitants of Asia Minor, Syria, Arabia and Egypt,” Richardson writes. “Again, they were the ancestors of the modern-day inhabitants of the Middle East.”

Closing Arguments

And so after examining a sampling of evidence from both ancient historians as well as the most cutting-edge modern scholarship to date, we may very confidently conclude that the “Roman” soldiers in the Eastern provinces that destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple were in fact Eastern peoples -- the inhabitants of Asia Minor, Syria, Arabia, and Egypt. Again, they were the ancestors of the modern day inhabitants of the Middle East. When we look to the prophecy of Daniel 9:26, we can certainly understand how a hasty or perfunctory reading of this prophecy would lead one to conclude that the “peoples” were in fact Romans, but having now done proper due diligence, completed our homework, and examined the evidence, it is clear that the reality is quite different from what has been commonly and popularly understood.

Conclusion

In conclusion then, the overwhelming evidence, not only from ancient historians but also modern-day scholarship points us to the ethnic identity of the “Roman” peoples that destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. They were the ancestors of the Muslim peoples that dominate the entire region today.

If you would take the time to read the article at the link, I think you would receive a nice surprise as to what it says.

The people of the prince to come are the Middle Eastern countries north of Israel

They are all listed in Ezekiel 38

Before I jump into the fray to comment, I'd like to get a consensus on when the Ezekiel 38: - 39: war occurs? Just prior to the tribulation or during the first 3-1/2 years, or when. Because this has everything to do with who will not be the 'people of the prince'. I might throw in Psalm 83:, Isiah 17 and Jeremiah 49: to boot.

well, I believe the Psalm 83 war must take place first but beyond that, I'm not sure it is locked into one spot in the bible. The link to the article in my op provides a lot of facts I have never heard and was curious if their facts could be refuted. It's long but a good read.

Unfortunately I don't have the time right now to read a long article or write a long reply, but I'm sure it's informative and interesting. To be brief, if the prophetic scripture listed above is correct, has dual prophetic meaning, and occurs before the midpoint of the tribulation...

But 'the people of the prince' can't be Arab or Muslim. As their Armies and countries are everything but completely destroyed, as listed in above scriptures. That's just my take.

The prince"leader"in this verse is a man,who calls himself the supreme leader Ali Khomeini of Iran.He is an Islamic imam who claims to be the spokesman of Mahdi on earth. He claims to ascend into heaven, once a year to converse with the Mahdi and recieve instuction.

He is also mentioned in daniel 11:22.

http://biblehub.com/daniel/11-22.htm

He is referd to as the prince of the covenant because of the nuclear agreement made between him and world leaders.

It is written that trump will destroy him and his overwhelming army he has at the time of the end after his army has taken Jerusalem .

Trump will destroy him and his army with the abomination that causes desolation.

After the people of the prince has taken Jerusalem and killing Israelis ,trump goes off on many middle eastern countries and northern Africa.

Islam is going to have a bad day .Things just not going to turn, out the way they thought.

"Before I jump into the fray to comment, I'd like to get a consensus on when the Ezekiel 38: - 39: war occurs?"

This battle is the battle of Armageddon and it will occur just at the end of the 70th week decreed for Israel .... 30 days will be held for this war .... then the Lord will gather and separate all of the living of both Israel and the balance of humanity

2/3rds of Israel will be eliminated and the balance of the believing Gentiles will enter the Lord's millennial kingdom as mortals .... those in unbelief will be eliminated
