I hate to say it but I think that is exactly where we're headed.  People are simply not rational these days.  Most people, that is.

Really? Hmmm....:39:

Those in power are concerned on remaining in power, so they surround themselves with like minded people for support and encouragement. By doing so, they have lost the power of critical thinking and common sense.  This mindset has worked its way down to the citizens of the US as well.  This can be seen with all the groups over the past decades. Sooner or later, they will band together like the Government has done and stand against the opposing side in force.  I have always seen destruction when I think of the future of this country, but as of yet, I really can't put my finger on when this will happen.  Soon, too soon, as His time draws nearer and nearer.

It just goes to prove, one more time, how bad our Government can get.  When our leaders stack the deck over and over so they can get what they want, there is no justice.  If this keeps up, there will be another civil war, and this time it will be worse then the first.

I've actually thought this as well. There are irreconcilable differences between those who still believe in personal liberty and freedom, and those who want a socialistic and ultimately, tyrannical, America.

While political donations certainly should not be the only gauge, I can see where it's not out of bounds if they play a part.

If you held an executive governmental position and were interviewing candidates for an office under your direction, would you think the fact they donated to Trump might disqualify them?  (be honest, now.)

Blessings,

-Ed

No, it would not at all.  If one would take the time to look past the few 1000 dollars given to parties you would find that these people are some of the top people in the legal field.  Dreeben, for example, is only of only two people to ever have argued more than 100 cases in front of the Supreme Court.

If we could move past petty partisanship we would find that maybe these 4 people are actually highly qualified to do their job.

Do you honestly believe that political contributions is the way to judge someone's fitness to do a job?

Yes

Hopefully I will not get in trouble for saying this, but to me that says more about you (or anyone else that feels that way) than it does the one's being judged.

There is also a double standard in play since Trump also gave to the Clintons and the Dems and that was explained away.

The actions of the Democratic leadership and the news media have given most conservatives the need to watch them carefully....  yes it does say a lot about me....   I'm much more perceptive than I used to be....

One of the people he hired to help worked for the Clinton foundation on stopping legal requests about the Clinton foundation.

Close friends with Comey.......   working with the Clinton foundation.....  Democrat donars.....   And I'm supposed to believe they are independent and fair......      I'm really not that naive.

Trump did give to both sides.....  did these others give to Republicans also.
