Both parties call smaller increases cuts, so you are not really exposing the whole truth in that area.  You basically just added your own spin to the information.

"Across the board" tax cuts are never really that.  Both parties hose the middle class when it comes to tax cuts.  But then again both parties want a smaller middle class, they want people moving either up or down, but in the middle they are too unpredictable to be counted on for votes or financial support.

The problem is that people are only examining one side or the other, the fail to understand that both sides of the divide put out fake news on a regular basis.

If I watch most news sources, I get a very liberal spin.  If I watch Fox News, I get a conservative spin.  I recognize both.  I just happen to agree with the positions of Fox more than the rest.  I have never seen any news channel that is right down the middle in their coverage, where they just report what happened with no editorial comments.  Who, what, when, where, why and how.  That is out the window.  I have never seen any newspaper or station that reports everything taking place in the country and the world without choosing to leave out stories that are unfavorable to their side.  With 24 hour news stations, there is no reason for any story to be left out of the coverage, but on the liberal networks, if it helps Republicans, they barely cover it, and if it harms Republicans, it is all they talk about.  Fox leans the other direction.  I recognize spin no matter where it comes from.

Polls are a huge propaganda tool today.  I don't believe any of them anymore.  They are meaningless.  Reporting accurate opinions has been replaced with polls for propaganda purposes.  The questions are asked in a way to get the results the pollsters desire.  I wouldn't care if they claim 80 percent of the country feels a certain way now.  I wouldn't believe them.

That is not exactly a glowing endorsement.  McCain stopped being a Republican a long time ago.  The label just follows him around because it's stuck to his shoe.

You can say that again!  McCain is republican in name only. I didnt vote for him! I have no idea how he gets reelected.

In 2012, Romney lost the electoral college to Obama.  I always ask people - in discussions like this - what states that Romney lost do you think a Kasich, Cruz, Bush or Rubio could have taken?  The latter two MAY have taken Florida, but that wouldn't have been enough.

I'm open to opinions.  But I think - with the possible exception of Florida - the answer is zero.

I also believe - contrary to popular opinion - that Sanders would have lost to Trump as well.  I think he would have done worse than Hillary. In fact, I think he would have lost to a Kasich, Rubio, or a Bush as well.  The country just isn't quite ready for Socialism (it will be when the Millenials mature, though)

Cruz - I'm not so sure about.  The media would have trashed Cruz to no end.  Sanders might have beaten him.

The dark horse that dems COULD have run that would have beaten the whole field? Joe Biden.  He's as liberal as Hillary, but he's likable and doesn't come with the baggage she carries.

Blessings,

-Ed

Oh yeah Biden is real likable especially when he cant keep his hands off of little girls and women. [Sarcasm]

He is CREEPY.

And this is why it is important to get information from both sides, otherwise you are only getting half the stories.  Then throw in some foreign source and you get closer to the whole story.   If you can find some common ground between the right wing sources and the left wing sources that is typically where the truth lies.

Liberal  & conservative are far from  comparable with "spins" Which btw, spin is a nice word for people who deliberately lie to slander anothers character! Lets just say what it really is: WICKED!

Liberal main stream media have dug themselves into a pit with all their  lies. The people  are waking up. They see who are the liars and who is telling the truth. I dont think conservatives spin it. I think they may sensationalize a little when speaking of the liberal news. They certainly dont tell whopping lies day in and day out like the mainstream media does. MSM  has an agenda to undermine every Trump move or republican move. There is a means to their madness in their deceived little minds. Nope. Its not even comparable.  The left is absolutely beside themselves that Trump won and they have set out on these fake news stories since before nov 8th. :)

The facts are the same.  The spin is the difference.  I will never agree with the liberal point of view, even if I heard it 24/7.  I just find myself yelling at the tv or radio about how stupid and wrong the person is when I listen to liberals.  I choose conservative news sources for the sake of my blood pressure.  I would rather get the news from Fox and opinions from Rush than news from CNN and opinions of Rachel Maddow.  CNN and Maddow could be my source all the time and I would never be persuaded.  I simply don't agree with their point of view.

You are right.  There is no comparison.  What I find on Fox is the people are more on my side and you can tell that by the way they phrase questions to their guests.  They aren't telling lies or editing stories like CNN.  They even give both sides, but I can tell how they feel, and they are on the same side I am most of the time, where CNN is not.  I have caught CNN in flat out lies, and we all know about CBS and the national guard story.  I just feel like I am getting my news from friends on Fox and enemies from the rest.

It is almost like when I listen to a ball game.  I can listen to the Braves games on their network or the network of their opponent, but I would rather hear the Braves play by play because we are on the same side.  I get the play by play either way and know who wins or loses, but I want to hear it from friends, not enemies.

Speaking of sports commentators; They irritate me! They always have!! Im fine watching as long as it is muted. I dont need someone to tell me in their "sensationalist way" as to what is going on. I can see. lol

If you spend much time comparing stories you will find even the facts are not the same often. Either they leave some out or they flat out change some.  Both sides do it equally, there is no side that is better than the other when it comes to this.

I will say that I do not watch any news except maybe in the event of an actual ongoing situation and then I will flip between two or three channels to try and get the whole story.

95% of my news comes in the written form, allowing me to skim past the fluff.
