Some Democrats are openly calling for Nancy Pelosi to step down, along with senior party leadership.  They're in limbo, they know it and who could blame them for wanting to get ride of the Same Old, Same Old?   Now, if only the Republicans could see their way to jettison those like John McCain who have just been around too long.

I think Ms. Pelosi should pay this attention when members of her own party notice something. I agree and would like to see her step down and retire completely.

It would be a good day for the country if she were to just ride off into the sunset.

Indeed it would.  Much like eggs, Congressional lifers go bad when they've been around too long.  We NEED term limits.

Didnt President Trump mention something along those lines? The term limits?

Yes.  The problem is that Congress would have to vote on it and why would they do that?  I'm sure the POTUS would sign it.  Presidents are already term limited.

Good point. That certainly seems kinda like a contradictory policy dont ya think? Imagine having a job that you determine how long you stay. Wouldnt that be sweet. Case in point

They do not determine how long they stay, the voters do.

Their terms end every 2 or 6 years.  If they go back again or not is up to the voters, as it should be

Well they get reelected but, if they were term limited, they just couldn't get on the ballot again.  That would solve the problem.  I don't think our founders envisioned lifetime, wannabe rock star, politicians in office for decades.  Or these same useless clods voting for laws they are not subject to; like Obamacare or, to be fair, the new Trumpcare bill.  We need new blood and new ideas in government and let the fossils toddle off to a museum where they belong.
