yes, I admit that by personal experience with Aussies and salt consumption  is limited to just a couple who came to visit me a few years ago. And they did like salt on everything. The salt on French toast, which seems odd to Americans,  was no joke, they really did that. On the other hand they thought I was weird for telling them that pumpkin pie was good. They thought the idea of a squash pie sounded pretty yucky. Then I gave them some and they cannot wait to share it with Aussies back home, except that buying  canned pumpkin pie filling, which is, did the states, apparently is a scarcity in Australia.
