Blessings KiwiChristian

As I understand it,many mormons are polygamists, what about it? I watched a documentary yesterday on this Mormon community(town) where they let a 17 yr old boy assume the postition of school principal, from there he lead the church, claiming to be a Prophet and that resulted in him ruling the entire town! They all had multiple wives that he assigned to the men & himself & all along he was a pedophile who was raping the children....they nabbed him on marrying 14 yr old girls and he was sentenced to life in prison ...His name is Warren Jeffs                   With love-in Christ,Kwik

Although based on the bible the Mormon religion is a clear con. Famously illiterate Joseph Smith deciphered his golden tablets in English of a century before the time of discovery to his wife. She then tore up the the translation to which he couldn't replicate accurately lol.  Plus no one else was allowed to see his magic tablets of course. He also charged people money to not find treasures for them and was a known convicted con man right? On top of the recent marriage stuff. I can't fathom how people can be Mormons I must say

Yikes... you'll give yourself nightmares Aristotle ?

Joseph Smith... well the inception of this so called religion is so recent we've so much info on the history here.  It seems clear he used it for his own sexual and financial gratification yet people are still signing up to this..bizarre and worrying example of how easily people can be led astray.

Mormonism is not based on the Bible.  It quotes word for word portions of the King James Bible, but interjects a lot of garbage and lies between portions of truth.  So it is based on perversion of the Bible.  Such as its claim that the lost tribe of Israel went to the Americas, as they claim Jesus did as well.   Wow.

By the way the Reorganize church has renamed itself.  Someone reported a lot of people dressed in white robes waiting to enter a church east of the Mississippi.  They were formerly the RLDS but the new name was on the building.

While they officially renounce polygamy, I can't help but wonder how many wives many have had through divorce and remarriage, or even concubines.  The wives are held in bondage to their husbands because if the husband obeys all their requirements like tithing, not drinking alcohol or caffeine. etc, they become eligible to become a god who can call whichever wife he desires to the 3rd heaven with him.  So the guy who sexually abused his children and filmed them for pornography had such a hold over his wife that she would not leave him even to protect her children.  In the school system we finally found an aunt to take them in.  I heard a standoff on the police band in which a mormon guy claimed he wasn't going to jail for having sex with his own kids.  And the women who try to commit suicide after killing their children are most often Mormon.  The only way they can die in good standing with their church after breaking their secret vows is to do this, according to ex mormons I have known.  There was a famous local case in which the mom threw her kids into a deep river but then couldn't kill herself, as well as one in Florida who made the news.  It was not widely repeated that they were mormon, but I did hear it in one news report.

My heart breaks for these people.  I have known some that I really like, and would recommend my physical therapists to anyone.  But I don't trust them.  They lack any spiritual enlightenment as to the Truth of the Bible.  But I love to witness to those who come to my door, and always pray that God will give me the words they need to hear.  Some scorn me because I often open the door wearing my favorite  bathrobe.  I don't usually dress till we plan to go shopping since we both experience disabilities and pain.  So we force ourselves to do so.  Often it is painful to just dress and the pressure of clothing itself is very painful.  So they laugh at me in derision as they leave, standing in judgement of those of us suffering in old age.

Lord, have mercy on those in darkness and open their eyes to Your love, mercy and truth.  Help them to see themselves a You see them, lost and in bondage to the lies of the enemy.  Please replace their hearts of stone with hearts of flesh that they may know You.    In the Name of the I Am, Jesus Christ, I ask these things.  AMEN!

I grew up in the area where Joseph Smith discovered his private buried  discovery .

This also being the land where the " Cardiff Giant " was discovered .

Smith was greatly influenced as a child by the common practice of  traveling spiritualists of that day  who would months ahead of time bury some object of significance  in the ground in close proximity of a pre-chosen town , then appear in town proclaiming to have " visions "  of spirits who had visited the area , left

evidence of said visit , and revealed the location only to them , and then lead everyone to the spot of the buried objet to retrieve it .

Thereby establishing their credibility .

Joseph Smith was even more secretive than this .

This is exactly how it started .

Never trust anything done in a corner .
