You say that Christ freed us from sin and yet at the same time you say that we cannot become sin free beings, and are doomed to be sinful the rest of our lives. Can you explain Biblically what this means?

So, do we have anything to brag about? Bragging has been eliminated. On what basis was it eliminated? On the basis of our own efforts? No, indeed! Rather, it is eliminated on the basis of faith. In this body, we're groaning for the anticipation of being redeemed.  While being in this bodies that still sins, we can live a life of holiness, however always falling short of perfection until we are finally redeemed.  I believe Paul expresses it best,

Rom 8:19  For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 
Rom 8:20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 
Rom 8:21  that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 
Rom 8:22  For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 
Rom 8:23  And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 
Rom 8:24  For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 
Rom 8:25  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

So while we struggle in this life, we have the opportunity to share this gospel message -- that Jesus died for our sins, and rose again from the dead, thus we have the hope of the glory that awaits us at the resurrection of all the saints!
