Why did Satan want to be like God? Why did he want to rule the world? He knows that God is perfect and only He knows what's good for us. Or does he know that?

Trying to understand that got me into a lot of trouble.....  I think one has to know much too much about Satan to understand that.  Ondd has to understand his capabilities to understand that and that knowledge isn't something we need to know....

If you think he's just a nothing remember not even Michael railed against him when arguing over Moses body.   People who have had the unfortunate experience of meeting him usually stand in awe of his presence....  to the point that it is easy to see why people will fall under his spell when he is finally sent to earth for good.

But let me not seem to promote him in any way for it is because of the way God made him that makes him so dangerous....  "Angel of Light"   not a bad description of him.........  just remember behind that light is an evil that is a almost incomprehensible.

Paraphrased by Sam........  God made him such a super dude, he thought he should be on the same level as God.

I think it was a simple question.  Have you asked him?  If you aren't familiar with him how could know what he thinks.

The key word "PRIDE".    You can have all the goods and things that this world has to offer, but pride rules and it's all from the heart.

I gave the reply as above, but like a dog chasing it's tail, the OP question still is not answered satisfactorily IMO as where did pride come from.  I mean the guy had the full works, jasper stones, emeralds,  all the things that would have satisfied any man.  I guess only the Lord knows the answer to the OP question.  Anybody  thinks they have it pat down,  then speak up please.
