I really don't value men's opinions. The common book of  prayer is not God-breathed, it is merely the works of men not the work of GOD. I have one by the way - given to me at my Confirmation. I get way more out of the Psalms in the Bible.

AMEN.

Being gay is not a sin, just a temptation. It's the behaviour that's the sin.

It is a sin,

just like being a thief is a sin - it doesn't matter if they continue thieving or not.

Being a son of the devil,  a child of satan,  walking in darkness, being a son of disobedience,  all are sins -

nothing has to be done to become a sinner.

The behavior is pernicious (death dealing, seeking to drag everyone down with it in sin).

Do these so called Bishops even own a Bible, and if they do, do they read them?

Perhaps the title of the thread can be changed, since every time anyone reads it it may promote a wrong idea or stumbling,  particularly in little ones weak in faith, or seekers.

Just being a fallen human being is a sin, then.

But we are all sinners; we just have different ways of showing it.

As written in God's Word, right - everyone is consigned under sin,  dead in their sins and trespasses

until redeemed by the BLOOD of JESUS the LAMB of GOD.

If the ones (in the title/ anytime/ anywhere) in England promoting deadly sin turn from their wicked ways, and repent, and pray to God to be saved,

perhaps they will be saved from their sin,

same case as for everyone else on earth,  every human.

"Being" gay is a basic assumption about life and who created you that happens to be blasphemous. To "realize" you are gay is to suddenly "realize" that God's creation was "not good". This flies directly in the face of Genesis 1 when God pronounced creation "Good". As a matter of fact, the first thing that God said was "not good" was that a helpmeet was not found for Adam. So, according to Genesis 1, God put Adam to sleep and created woman out of man. So "being" gay is also to tell God that His creation is flawed. In doing that, a person then becomes responsible for their own salvation. So yes, "being gay" is essentially sinful. Thank God for Jesus, who died even for "gay" people to redeem them.

I think the Bishops need to return to the King James Version Bible (actually to ANY version of the Bible) and rethink their pronouncements....unless of course they are renouncing the Bible as well.....heavy sigh

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, homosexuals are called to chastity as the act itself is traditionally looked upon as contrary to natural law. Although not technically a sin, the catechism considers homosexuality to be a "grave depravity" that under no circumstances can be approved, yet there always seems to be a gay scandal being uncovered from inside the Vatican.

There is no more homosexuality in the RCC than elswhere ,although I think priests should be allowed to marry . It must  have something which the devil hates to be so picked on by ignorance .

This a typical underhand way, to once again snipe at the RCC , while leaving out the horrors of other churches .

Nothing about any of that found in the Bible?

What are you rambling about ?
