Guest shiloh357
Something I saw on FB: "A British couple is forced to plead with a judge in order to try and save their baby's life. The Canadian PM pays a terrorist killer. Entitlement Freeloaders get everything given to them. Veterans suffer and die for lack of medical attention. A presidential candidate commits felonies while endangering national security, and walks away scot-free. A democratically elected president surges forward with innovative and healing policies and is met with a political Pickett's charge from the Left. European women are raped by Muslim immigrant fiends. European "leaders" welcome millions more rapists. What an "interesting" time to be alive."

For the background to this sad case, read this link: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/the-faqs-what-you-should-know-about-charlie-gard-controversy The possibility of 'saving' his life is virtually zero. If it were not for the existence of intensive care units, he would have died months ago.

The government should have no say in the matter. As long as the parents have the money to pay for the care, the government should have no say in the matter. I think the controversy is slightly more than that. The court is not blocking some well known treatment. Remember, they have not even tested this treatment properly on mice. And now they want to try this on this little child? Just because they are parents and can afford it, does not mean any kind of treatment could be allowed. People are trying to politicize the situation by simply saying court is blocking treatment, without knowing details of the treatment.

Worse case scenario the child dies-which he was going to anyway. Best case? He lives. Shouldn't be the governments choice. Should be between the parents and those offering the treatment. That is one of the hallel Psalms. I think it applied directly to the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem. That Psalm was the prescribed Psalm for that particular day of the year, still today in Jewish circles, and it is the one the crowd was proclaiming as Jesus rode in. It is a Psalm to welcome the Lord and king. That is why the Pharisees had a fit and told Jesus to rebuke the crowds, to which Jesus replied if the crowd were to be quiet, even the stones would cry out.
