But you will find that people will treat you the way they treated Jesus. They rejected Him as well. One minute they were hailing Him as King and the next day they crucified Him. So sharing in the sufferings of Christ marks you as one of His. It still hurts, but you will be rewarded in heaven. Keep seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness and just determine to be a real friend to them when they need one. Forgive and be ready to offer them kindness and admiration at a time when they are down. Jesus said "Father forgive them, they know not what they do" when He was hanging on the cross, and He lives in you! Allow Him to use you to express His love and forgiveness, expecting nothing in return. They don't have to even be polite to you. Give them permission to be as rude and unkind as the world was to Jesus. Just determine in your own mind that you will love and forgive them anyhow. Greater is Jesus in you than any evil is in this world.
