So I'm at a party the other day and I meet this guy, nice pleasant guy.

He tells me he is following the Bahai religion.

He talked a fair bit about his religion but what stuck out to me most is that he said (basically) they believe that God continues to send prophets and they are following the teachings of the latest prophet from which the religion of Bahai comes from.

I can't help but get a sense of how a Jew must feel when I come along and say I am a Christian and Jesus supersedes the Law .

I'm not looking for a discussion about that religion but what I am suggesting, in light of "revelations" that have resulted in Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness and others is that we discuss....

What makes Christianity different in that we can say "it is finished" Jesus is the final word?

How do we reason that?

I'm curious to hear how different people would respond to that.

Jesus did not supersede the law, Jesus fulfilled the law, easy as that!

You shouldn't say that Jesus supercedes the Law, Jesus fulfilled the law.

The Jews had a sucession of prophets so that shouldn't be anything new, but Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets.

Doesn't B'ahai in essence embrace all religions declaring that ultimately all lead to God?

LOL I was sitting on the fence whether I would use that word or not

I stand corrected

Now, that aside......

"I am the way, the truth, the life. Nobody comes to the Father except through Me."

This is the easiest question to answer pertaining to other gods and religions. Christianity is not a religion, it is faith and a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible is His word to us. The Bible is inerrant and infallible. There are literally hundreds of prophesies in the Bible, most have been 100% accurately fulfilled and many are yet future, with some being set in motion right before our very own eyes.

No other religion or book tells the end from the beginning, history in advance. The Lord gave us prophesy so that we may surely know He is whom He says He is.

Jesus is "the Word". One way and/or another, the whole Bible centers around our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Reason the hundreds of conditions around us that exist, just to support our lives, existence, bodies and senses, that evolution could never mimic by chance. Have "faith" in the One whom created the world and died on the cruel Roman cross for our sins, to do what He said He is going to do. He died for us... Some "religions" require you die.

That separates Christianity from all other religions.

Jesus is GOD in the Flesh. He said "It is finished" so GOD said it. We need nothing else.

You know i wrote a reply which i did not get to post, but it was almost the same as the above.  I would say in addition that, Jesus ended all sacrifices with his shedding of his blood at the cross. In essence our redeemer came in flesh and gave his very life so that John 3:16  is reality because of the CROSS.   That is the difference that separates all others, in that with your heart you believe and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and eternal life is assured.  It all comes down to Faith .

It is a reasonable question to have arise;

I believe the answer is that there has always been one covenant between God and man, and many dispensations of that covenant.

There will yet more dispensations to come, but more covenants.

As to the nation Israel and the Jewish individuals, most have been and are verysecular. They claim to know Torah, but they do not, nor do they practice any dispensational relationship with God.
