It is divided into two areas by a great chasm according to Luke 16:19-31. Jesus gives all the details in those verses. NIV

Poetry again. Isaiah 38:10 - Hezekiah had been told by Isaiah that he was about to die. Job 38:17 - God is saying that He knows all things, even the places where humans cannot go: the depths of the sea, and the realm of the dead.
