(Worthy News) - Hundreds of asylum seekers from the Middle East, including from Iran and Iraq, have converted to Christianity in Finland, according to officials in the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran community.

A report in Finnish media Yle Uutiset says the conversions are estimated to be several hundred in recent years within the country's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The converts are from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and other countries, and the denomination's parishes have established special confirmation classes for the Muslim immigrants seeking to become Christian. [ Source:Christian Post (Read More...) ]

Of course you should be excited as the angels rejoice over any sinner who come to Jesus for Salvation:)

The key thing I got out of the article is that this number is over several years. When I saw the article title I thought it was like in the last couple of days. But I can see that it has happened for a course of several years. My other thought is I am sure it isn't just in Finland but in other countries as well. So this questions comes up, why do we have an article about it for Finland? What about the US? Canada? Middle East? Etc. Just my thoughts on the matter. :)

Who says I'm not excited about anyone coming to christ.  The article just seems to be making a big deal out of the numbers.

Probably it is a news feed, using a search engine/ something bot? / from the headlines of news articles or perhaps searching the bodies ......

Doing a search online for any other country will likely provide 1,137 articles in 0.13 seconds. :)

I think it is great to see any trend that points to Jesus, which I suspect is the basis for posting the article.  Even here on this forum in the last month we have seen multiple converts from Islam to Christianity, Praise the Lord!  The harvest is great, there is much work to be done.

God bless
