What's the significance of an article from a Scriptural viewpoint? For example, Matthew 24:6-8 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. At the bottom of an article let's say with Iran threatening Israel. Things along those lines. Any thoughts? Any Scriptures we should use? People were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building [carrying on business as usual, without regard for their sins]; 29 but on the [very] day that Lot left Sodom it rained fire and brimstone (burning sulfur) from heaven and destroyed them all. Genesis 6:5 The Lord saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually. Genesis 6:11 The [population of the] earth was corrupt [absolutely depraved—spiritually and morally putrid] in God’s sight, and the land was filled with violence [desecration, infringement, outrage, assault, and lust for power]. God bless, George Scripture is always a good reference to any discussion. Do you think people are going to want to use different interpretations? Why is this posted? is the idea behind it. l think it's a good idea, George. And I also think that a lot of us are thinking of how things link to Scripture when we post or read mews articles already. I say that because often posters will slip in a verse or two to make a point. Such references can focus busy people on the significance of happenings in the news and some who are not believers might just have a 'light bulb' moment when they see the connection.
