Just consider the corruption and "mental disorders" of human pilots in recent history.

We have planes today that could be flown pilotless. Basically pilots take off and land the planes today. The rest of the time computers fly the planes. I have/had an acquaintance when I was working that was a test pilot and he would set in the pilot seat while the computers would take off and land the planes. They are only used in emergencies and it is not very many models but the technology is there. I would not fly in one without a backup pilot. Landing a heavy airplane, commercial or not, is a tricky thing to do in most weather conditions besides a calm sunny day.
