Sounds to me like the lefties are rooting for N. Korea.  Their loathing of the President seems to outweigh patriotism.

As Samuel Johnson once said, patriotism can prove to be "the last refuge of a scoundrel."

Does Trump think he's really Harry Truman?

"Mr Trump’s comments carry an eerie echo of those made by President Harry Truman after he told the American public in 1945 that the US had dropped the world’s first atomic bomb on Hiroshima following Japan’s failure to meet a US ultimatum: 'If they do not now accept our terms, they may expect a rain of ruin from the air, the like of which has never been seen on this earth.'"

The problem lies in that in order for his words to be fulfilled, he will have to outdo Truman.

No, he is put there by his critics because they cannot be honest  and truthful about the reality of the threat we face now because the three previous administrations kicked the can down the road and did nothing and now we have a nuclear N. Korea.   Now, no matter what Trump does, it will be wrong as far as his critics are concerned.

The problem is that we have two bullies trash talking each other.

Yeah you droned and blathered on and on before about "trash talk."  You were wrong then, and you are wrong, now.  We are now dealing with a nuclear N. Korea and we can see that it was not at all "trash talk."  He is on the verge of putting a nuke on an ICBM.  The military isn't treating this at all like trash talk.

We should listen to the military experts who actually know what they are talking about.

It is still just trash talk until someone does something.

The military is treating this the same way we always have, being prepared for any action by NK.

By the way, any chance you might just deal with the issue at hand and leave out the personal comments?  I know it is a long shot, but felt I would ask.

Did Trump listen to any of his generals before he gave his "fire and fury" ultimatum to NK?

Didn't candidate Trump complain that the previous administration always signaled its military intentions to our enemies?

So what did Donald just do for fat lil' Kim?

And recall that candidate Trump voluntarily ran for president supposedly knowing the state this world was in before he became POTUS.

But what happens after Kim calls Trump's hyperbolic bluff?

This Kim guy is unstable. You do have to be careful when addressing unstable people. I really hope that Mr Trump takes the advice of his advisers and considers what they say.

Might be worth remembering that advisers can be wrong too. He may have advisers pushing him for anything from no action at all up to and including a full scale invasion or preemptive nuclear attack.
