So I think I mentioned before that our town is in the path of the eclipse.  By nine o'clock this morning traffic was backed up clear out of town.  By noon it was backed up a little over 10 miles.

The Costco in our area has sold $1 million dollars over projected earnings every day by noon for the last week.

We just got message that all of the gas stations in town are already out of diesel.  This should be a few exciting days.

I can imagine that it has gotten crazy. That is why I am staying very close to home. I heard that all the hotels and motels are either full or booked up. Fred Meyer is advertising to " get your eclipse needs today" :noidea:. I live in the State of Washington but apparently close enough.

We're close to the middle of the path also. The news stations have told us to prepare for large crowds and heavy traffic in our area. Our schools are closed Monday. Can you believe it??? Most of our colleges have viewings. Everyone's trying to get the glasses. It's crazy. One mom bought her (college age) daughter pepper spray, because of potential craziness.

We have a town of 50,000 people about 2 hours from where I live that's supposed to get 100% of the exlipse, and they are renting hotel rooms at $1300 a night. Fuel has gone up as well, people are saying the towns population should double if not triple in size for the day.
