The effort is nearly a week old now. It began Saturday when Trump was criticized for not immediately singling out neo-Nazis and white supremacists for their role in the violence in Charlottesville, Va. When Trump finally did identify the groups on Monday, the press said he was too slow. Then a day later, Trump again condemned white supremacists, but also said at a press conference that both the white supremacist protesters and counter-protesters were violent, and that there is blame on "both sides." By Thursday, major magazines were declaring Trump a racist. Or at least, they were suggesting it with the art on their new covers. Then there was the incident of the "Central Park Five" that once they were found innocent Trump never took back his words. If there was merit to the accusations, however, Trump would never have been successful in his bid for president. It would not have happened - no way, no how. You're not seriously suggesting, are you, that with 16 or 17 other primary opponents, the democrats, most of the mainstream media - that if there was anything substantial to racism claims it would not have been used? It was either too long ago or it was governmental overreach any number of other things. I mean, come on a tape came out of him saying some of the most vile things about women possible and that was dismissed in hand, why would something as minor as racism be an issue? When Trump said he could stand in Time Square and shot someone and people would still vote for him, the knew what he was talking about. If Trump were a racist, there would have been a lot made of it during the election given all the efforts to dig up dirt on him. Racism is an any accusation to throw around as we saw in the last administration. If Trump were a racist, he would not have embraced a Jewish son in law and a Jewish daughter in law and would not have given his support and blessing to his daughter's conversion to Judaism. It seems one can be a racist and not hate all races, just one particular one. I mean, hypothetically speaking is it not possible that a person could hate black people yet still like Jewish people?
