Not sure what you mean. Solar eclipses are a normal phenomena of God's creation?

I completely disagree, and impossible. First, the full moon is always on 15th of the month and the new moon starts the month, hence the word moed - new moon. 21 Aug 1914 was 29 Av 5674. You cannot have a solar eclipse with a full moon. Just like the Crucifixion cannot have been a solar eclipse because it's the time of the full moon, not the new moon. Second, I've done extensive study on the Jewish calendar and even wrote a program and put it on my site for all to use for free. My biggest users are Israelis. The Hebrew calendar isn't just lunar, it's also solar, which is why they have leap months every few years. It is about a day off from the full and new moons and they know this. Today is celebrated as 28 Av and it should be 29 Av. Tomorrow is the end of the month for the moon (with the spectacular total eclipse over the entire USA), making Tuesday 1 Elul, but it'll still be celebrated as 30 Av instead. They have changed their calendar to point to Simon bar Kokhba as the Messiah, even declaring him as such, until he was killed by the Romans. Rabbi Akiva changed the calendar 215 years. So instead of today being 5777 it's actually 5992. If you want more information, see my study http://abdicate.net/book.aspx

Absolutely correct. Every eclipse marks the first day of the month on the Hebrew (Jewish) calendar.

I think the solar eclipse is a rare occurrence however, it's is a natural event. God has worked through the natural environment with signs before but I think it would be more noteworthy if we had an eclipse when none was expected.
