Well, that's you.  The majority do care.

I said the polls relative to Trump are fake and untrustworthy.   Not all pollsters are controlled by the deranged, anti-Trump crowd.

As I said before, REAL Americans care about our history being preserved.  The Marxist leftists want it gone.

Well, the polls totally missed the elections, because of the fact that many people would never vocally say they would vote for Trump -- however they looked at the potential of a Clinton presidency and made the best of it.  Thus the pollsters can't get a good read on Trump.  I believe that's why the polling is way off at this particular time.

I don't want this to sound like I am joining the Right. :o     But I think most historical people way back 1700-1800 or even early 1900's would be consider racist today. For reasons of " they just didn't know any better." I think that we judge people of the past by today's standers. Had I been born in the deep south in the 1800's, I may have very well been a racist as well. Because that would be all I would know. I would have been told that blacks are slaves and not human like the rest of us. I would have seen and experience things I do not see or experience in this time. All of those factors would have shaped who I was. Would I have been a racist? Maybe?  Pulling down statues is not going to erase the past. In fact statues can be a teaching tool to teach people that the way of life back then was like that. But we don't want to be that way anymore.  We don't want to make the mistakes that these people made. So let these statues remind us to do better and to be better people.

LK, that was very well said and, as usual, you seem to be the cooler head here.  I believe you're right, we would probably be totally different people if we lived back then.  AND we need to remember history to avoid repeating it.
