I keep hearing this but I am not sure what is meant by it. Considering Christians in some countries are having their heads chop off. Seems we Christians have it rather good here. Yet I keep hearing that we are under attack. :39:

We are under attack on all four corners and in different ways, including from the Left which wants to pencil its secular, socialist values into Christian theology.

Yes, every time I hear someone talk about the mistreatment of Christians in this country I shake my head and think to myself these people need to get out more

For more than 30 years that has been the single biggest issue people have cast their votes based upon and yet the rate of abortion per female in the US is basically the same as it was 2 years after RvW.

However, if you vote for a candidate that is openly pro-abortion -- you are not fixing anything -- but saying in effect, yeah that doesn't matter!  I believe the reason why we don't have change is that many "Christians" turned a blind eye and pretend it's not one of the main issues facing America.  But God knows the heart of a voter, while we don't have ideal choices to vote, we do have to make a decision if we decide to vote.  However, you also have to understand that DEMOCRACY in of itself shows us that we're in the Laodicean church.  Laos means people.  And Dicea comes from the Greek word meaning choice or decision.  In order words, Laodicea literally means, "Peoples choice".

Rev 3:14  "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.
Rev 3:15  "'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
Rev 3:16  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit [literally means 'VOMIT'] you out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17  For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
Rev 3:18  I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.
Rev 3:19  Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21  The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Rev 3:22  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

So go ahead and be "pro-choice" or in other words, "People's choice" and try to reconcile it with the word given to the church of Laodicea.

I don't know why it seem that every political topic leads to the subject of abortion? What on Earth would the Right fight for if there was no abortion? Or better said, what would they fight for if abortion became illegal? Because there seems to be this notion that abortion won't happen if it is illegal.

Well I don't have the time to go into all this right now. I will get back to it at a later time.

Or you could be of the mind like me that the way to fix it is not by voting for people and expecting them to fix it.  It is actually in the Republicans best interest to not fix it, doing so would lose them their single biggest source of votes.

To me you fix the problem first by reaching the souls of the individuals and bringing them to Christ.  I would like to think a Christian would be less likely to have an abortion.

Then doing everything you can to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies through the use of comprehensive sexual education and easy access to all forms of birth control.

Then finally find a way to offer viable, affordable alternatives to abortion.   This is why I volunteer my time and money to local crisis pregnancy centers.

Or, we can keep doing what we have been doing and hoping for a different outcome.  There is an overused quote about what that is, but I will not post it here.

Please take your own advice.  Focus on that -- perhaps you'll be like me and realize discussions of politics really doesn't add much in the grand scheme of things. :)

@LadyKay , at least you know the decision of your choices based on the Word of God, so you have no excuse when you see God.

Not to be rude, but you really have no idea what I focus on.  I do not spend a lot of time on saving souls while on this forum as it is a Christian forum, I assume most I am talking to are Christians.   Though I do feel it is important to let those who are not that stumble upon this forum know that not every Christian has to be a far right wing person

Ever heard the saying, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks?  On the forums, at any given day, there's 1000+ visitors.  So how many of those visitors really know the Lord?  How many would be radically changed to follow the Lord by the very words you speak on the forums?  This is what I'm challenging you with!

Be Kingdom minded!  If you just think to yourself on every post -- is this Worthy of the Kingdom?   Then you'll find yourself building treasure that never fades away!

1Co 3:10  According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.
1Co 3:11  For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12  Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—
1Co 3:13  each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.
1Co 3:14  If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.
1Co 3:15  If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
1Co 3:16  Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
1Co 3:17  If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
1Co 3:18  Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
1Co 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their craftiness,"
1Co 3:20  and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile."

Well I am not really sure what you mean by no excuse. I feel that if God called me home right now I would be ready to go. :angel2:
