Greetings in Christ to you, sister Kwikster!

3 times in John 14 we read, paraphrasing ...

"If you love Me, you will keep (obey) My commandments."

Who goes to heaven who does not love Jesus?

Please tell me why NT passages such as these do NOT apply to you?

“… wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to (eternal)

destruction … narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which

leads to (eternal) life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

The truth of the narrow way has not at all been taught in its full reality.

There are many NT verses which prove how narrow the way really is!

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter the kingdom

of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven …

I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you (approved of you); depart

from Me, you who practice lawlessness (sin)!’ ” (Matthew 7:21-23)

There’s much more to doing God’s will than merely believing in Jesus!

Yes, sin keeps you out of the kingdom … see the NT “sin lists”

  (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3-6).

“You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures

to the end (until his death) will be saved (eternally).” (Matthew 10:22)

There are about 15 NT verses which teach us … the believer must

endure in the faith until death to receive eternal life (and some are below).

“But if you want to enter into (eternal) life, keep the commandments.”

  (Matthew 19:17)

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.”

  (John 14:21, also John 14:23 & John 15:14)

Does anyone get into heaven who does NOT love Jesus and obey Him?

“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.  It is better for you to enter

into life maimed rather than having two hands and go to hell” (Mark 9:43)

“For whoever desires to save his (worldly) life will lose it (eternal life)

but whoever loses his (worldly) life for My sake will save it (eternal life)

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is

himself destroyed or lost (eternal death)?” (Luke 9:24-25 and John 12:25)

“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh” (Galatians 5:24)

For if you live according to the flesh you will die (eternally)” (Romans 8:13)

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows,

that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh

reap corruption (eternal death)” (Galatians 6:7-8)

“… the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received

... by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which

I preached to you – unless you believed in vain.(1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

“Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;

and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth (eternal) death.

Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.” (James 1:15-16)

“But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare,

and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in

destruction and perdition (eternal death) … Command those who

are rich … that they may lay hold on to eternal life.” (1 Timothy 6:9-19)

‘My righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure

in anyone who turns away.’  But we are not like those who turn

away from God to their own destruction (eternal death).  We are

the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.” (Hebrews 10:38-39)

Paul says some believers turn back to their destruction, but in fact,

he has NO idea who will remain faithful to the end, or who will turn away!

“In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:

whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God” (1 John 3:10)

“He who practices righteousness is righteous” (1 John 3:7)

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God

and he shall be My son.  But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable,

murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars

shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,

which is the second death (eternal death).” (Revelation 21:7-8)

The “cowardly” include believers who fall from the faith when persecuted

for their Christian faith, or later submit to taking the mark of the beast.

“But there shall by no means enter it (the New Jerusalem) anything

that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those

who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” (Revelation 21:27)

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and

I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life” (Revelation 3:5)

Jesus gives His definition of who the victorious “overcomer” is …

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,

as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:21)

Just what did Jesus overcome?  Primarily: the world, sin, and the devil.

We today are the deceived church of Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22).

“If you refuse to forgive others, your Father won’t forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:15)

Unforgiveness blocks you from heaven and also blocks you from being healed!

“Fear the Lord and keep His commandments … so that you may be saved.

… So have faith in Him and fear Him and by that fear exercise self-control.

Keep these commandments.  If you do, you will put on the strength of

righteousness, and cast all wickedness from you, and live to God.”

(“The Shepherd of Hermas” -- most popular Christian “book” during 100-400 a.d.

Quoted as Scripture by such as Irenaeas, Clement, Origen, Codex Sinaiticus.

The Shepherd calls himself: “the Shepherd and messenger of repentance”.)

“Fear God, who has the power … to throw you into hell” (Luke 12:5)

“… unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3 and 13:5)

“… beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh

and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God … your sorrow

(over his first letter to them) led to repentance … For godly sorrow

produces repentance leading to salvation.” (2 Corinthians 7:1-10)

Yes, ALL sins will be forgiven through deep and sincere repentance!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

“When the Lord saw that their repentance was good and pure, and that they

were able to remain in it, He ordered their former sins to be blotted out.”

(“The Shepherd of Hermas” – he’s not nearly as tactful as the earlier Epistles)

Has Satan deceived you? ... Has he deceived your church?

Satan hates God, and he hates you! … He and his demons work

tirelessly to succeed in having you spend eternity in hell with them.

“the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

“the ruler of this world” (John 12:31)

“the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9)

“he is a liar and the father of it (lies)(John 8:44)

“evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world” (Ephesians 6:12)

Have you been deceived into believing in “once saved, always saved”,

and that your sins (past, present, and future) have all been forgiven?

(Also, have you been deceived into believing in a pre-tribulation rapture?)

Heads-up!  The dozens of warnings in the NT are there for a purpose!

For example: “… you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,

whether (slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death, OR

(slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness … now present

your bodies as slaves of righteousness for holiness.” (Romans 6:16,19)

Born-agains have been given a new nature and the indwelling Holy Spirit

to free them from their bondage to Satan – and from their slavery to sin!

There is no perfect knowledg. Only or perfect Lord. Where Christ us preached He saves. But good doctrin does but good character. some churches produce very little heavenly fruit.

Born-agains have been given a new nature and the indwelling Holy Spirit

to free them from their bondage to Satan – and from their slavery to sin!

I believe and trust the Word of God. I think a lot of people like myself can not even image where God may draw the line. What man but Christ or empowered by Christ could even meet our Holy God's standard?

Who of us is not worthy of hell?

Who knows exactly when and how Jesus started changing us?

I feel like informing people of these truths your writinh with out informing people that Jesus saves us through offering himself as a sacrafice for our sin and offered his blood for our atonement and offered himself in death for our life and his resurection for our hope and victory. His seat in authourity is for our boldness to aproach his throne of grace where he makes intercession for us.

I personally would be like the a pharasees saying, " do what i say not what i do". cause i still say Sh!t, oh sorry Lord when i stub my toe.

The Lords grace gives us time to make mistakes and learn and grow fruit by His Spirit and come to know Him and truth

Jesus walked 3 1/2 years with his diciples before they knew him. Alot of times while He is walking with us and teaching us we think we know something just to find out we were so excited and the Lord just took us to the wood shed so we could see how wrong we were.  But he promises to never leave us or foresake us, that nothing can seperate us from His Love, That he will finish the wirk he starts in us.

When you a sinfull man put those scriptures in peoples faces it either causes self condimnation our arrogance.."Do you think your obedience is perfect before the Lord?" because flesh begets flesh.

When The Lord speaks be healed, your truely healed no false testimonie, no fake confession. When the Lord Commands his word in our heart as we walk with Him the power to obey it is their too.

sometimes we want to polish the paint when the Lords installing a transmission and we don't even realize he really plans to repaint us. we are his creation in Christ Jesus He is making us new.

To pursue holyness of our own would just be mocking God. Would be haveing a form of godlyness but denying the power there of. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

How can you teach what your putting up right now to a heroine addict and give him hope in the power of Christ to change and save us? How can you say to a prostitute with demons Jesus loves you?

So if people are like me they wont say they dont sin cause they would then be liars.

You can't require fully empowered, full fruit, sent out and experianced accountability and faith works and love from someone who Just Said Jesus save me 5 days ago.

SOooooo im thinking pateince and kindness and knowing Jesus shows those thing to peoples hearts in His time so they do not loose sight of Jesus is our atoinment and forgives our sin.

Your advanced class would destroy our testimony of Christ to the lost sick, dieing, depressed, opressed, possesed people Jesus came to set free and save.

Besides only a fool would throw an 8 year old that has never driven the key's to a semi truck and say go take her around the neighberhood a few times.

But you can give those keys to a seasoned truck driver.

Yes, and you can check 1 john 5 understanding of the Lords word are expanded. Then Romans 13 expanded for gentiles to understanding. And the more you study love and commandments the more you understand Jesus's words. You can either study to know God and Christ or you can try to study how God will Judge and then instead of walking with the Lord, praising him, giving glory and honor to him for his grace and mercy and learning from him, loving Him and expressing his love to your brothers and growning in fruit of the spirit by letting Christ make Father known to you. Fallen man has no where else to go for redemption. No one else can forgive, No other place to be cleaned and reborn and find hope for a power greater then them self to be freed from captivity of sin. If you deny the power of God and put Godlyness and Holyness and righteousness back in the hands of man who are powerless against death hell and the grave with out faith and Christ your shuting the doors to those in need of Him.

We start trying to second guess God and create our own doctrin, scold our brethern, create, divisions, stir strife  start arguments. Maybe even sin by trying to decide who will ascsend.

Our thoughts are not his thoughts and our ways are not his ways. But we can't just study one lil section and not take into account there are 100's of levels of accountablity you'll find if you keep studying. an example would be Sins we are to ask the Lord to forgive each other for because they aren't sins unto death.

Trying to decide how Gods judgment will be administered individually and justly to millions of  people most from the past did not have the bible alot couldnt read just knew what they were told. We have people with IQ's of 80 and 180 trying to know and teach how God judges is like trying to understand the cell structure and functions of the human brain or judgement individually tailored and as perfectly sturctured as the dependecy of life on life in an eco system.

Bible says judge nothing before its time when the Lord returns he will reveal the things hidden from us then we can judge rightly.

If you love God and your brethern and Praise the Lord and pray what the Lord asks us to pray for each other and ourselfs. Then letters like 1 peter  that proclaim the gospel Christ sent them to proclaim gives us hope, faith and love not condemnation.

1 peter 1...

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (literly give him praise). (Gods Part)According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. 5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trials ( we struggle for a reason)7 so that the genuineness of your faith—more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire—(our response to His gifts)may resultin[c] praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 You love Him,though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 because you are receiving the goal of your[d]faith, the salvation of your souls.[e]

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated. 11 They inquired into what time or what circumstances[f]the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He testified in advance to the messianic sufferings[g] and the glories that would follow.[h] 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Angels desire to look into these things.

A Call to Holy Living(our part)

13 Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be serious and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, (instruction)do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance. 15 But as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; 16 for it is written,Be holy, because I am holy.[j]

17 And if you address as Father the One who judges impartially based on each one’s work (judgement is based one each of us individually), (instruction)you are to conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your temporary residence. 18 (Gods part)For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold,19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. 20 He was chosen[k]before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the times for you21 who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

(So what do we obey and what is our part in obeying the truth? Jesus is truth.)

22 By obedience to the truth,[l]having purified yourselves[m]for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly[n] from a pure[o]heart, 23 since (Gods part)you have been born again—not of perishable seed but of imperishable—through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For

All flesh is like grass,
and all its glory like a flower of the grass.
The grass withers, and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.[p]

And this is the word that was preached as the gospel to you.

My opinion I know we all have one. if your is diferent i can respect that.

Read the whole book of 1 peter it is a letter its not ment to be divded and parts taken out of context and verses you like given more authority then ones that contradict the doctrin your develooing. Read all the epistles as letters, they are letters and dont divide the letters. the verses and chapter divisions werent even added till 1600's. they really are not dividing the word properly. ask any one who translates greek and hebrew.

IMO, the epistle writers were extremely tactful as they mixed their dire warnings

in with their many edifications, exhortations, encouragements, blessings, etc.

I see several reasons for this.

IMO, Jesus taught this (approach to the churches) to Paul in the desert places for 17 years

before the latter began his ministry to the Gentiles.

Narrow is the way because everybody thinks that if they go to church they are saved , going to church does not save you just as walking to garage does not make you car .

If you walked to church and asked them where is gospel of salvation 99 out of 100 people would have no idea .
Threy are these kind of people as seen in Matthew 7:21-23 saying Lord Lord ..
They were thinking that what they do will make them be able to go to heaven , which is not true . You can't save yourself.

When in John 3:3 we read - you must be born again , we need to realise that we did not choose to be born again for first time . I did not tell my mom and dad to do it on exactly this day so i can be one of 50M seed who will get life . I had no control over it . Same is when you get born again , you can will to be born again but you can't do anything yourself , flesh can only do flesh , you need to be born out of spirit to be in spirit .

God will judge according to gospel Romans 2:16 . So if we know this we better know where the gospel is .

Gospel of salvation is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 , it's free gift ( if you had to pay for it then it can't be gift ) not of yourself , but it's free gift from God Ephesians 2:8-9 because you believed in his Son Jesus Christ that he paid in full( in greek ) /it is finished John 19:30 . After you believe you are sealed untill day of redemption with Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13-14 it's that simple .

It's not wide way because most people insteed of counting on Jesus righteousness as our perfect sacrifice once for all paying price of sin by his shed blood 1 Peter 1:18-19 , they cound on themselfes doing aerobic in church with kneeling and standing up and sitting and think that they will go to heaven by doing so .

If anybody else is preaching works salvation or any type of speaking in tongues or you damned to hell gospel or even baptism then they are cursed by God himself as seen in Galatians 1:8-9 .
