I really dont hear Gods voice anymore.  I know i have hardened my heart against his spirit.  Growing up, i was shy and out of fear i hardened my heart.  I really feel dead.  I dont know exactly how i hardened my heart but i cant remember anything the holy spirits blinded me.  I really feel gone.

Tyler 22,

Why do you think shyness and fear hardens your heart?  How do you think the Holy Spirit used to talk to you?  If you are as worried about this as you sound, then I don't believe you have hardened your heart beyond His ability to help!!  Have you ever received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?  Want to live for Him?  Want to be changed from the sinful person we all are before Christ?  Why do you feel dead to Him now, if you used to feel alive to Him?  I will pray for you, but I can't speak to your question without information.

Rhonda

Tyler, I just did a message on the subject of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit on You Tube, so the passage is fresh in my mind.  The sin that was committed was the religious crowd accusing Jesus of casting out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.  Jesus says that it was the Spirit of God that was the one responsible for casting out the devil.  The sin was attributing the works of the Holy Ghost to the devil.  It is speaking a word against the Holy Ghost.  If you want to be saved, that means God's Spirit is still dealing with you, so you didn't do it.  Confess your sins, ask Jesus to forgive you, and cleanse you of those sins, and believe that he did it.  He promised he would in 1 John.  You can't go by feelings.  We all go through dry spells.  Open up the Word of God and start reading.  You may have trouble feeling anything at first, but read some every day.  I can just about guarantee that after a while, you will begin to feel God again.  Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

you're not allowed to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins its only the father, Jesus himself says to ask the father so you should never in your mind direct your prayers to one of the other God head meaning Son or the holy Gost there are three persons. The one and only is the Father, and prayers are to that one. Jesus himself knows that, because he prayed to the Father only he never prayed to 3rd person which is the Holy Ghost so you're not allowed to pray to that one either they are not same but you're not allowed because he not a hearer of prayers John 16:23  and Luke 11:1,2

23 In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.

Luke 11:1,2 Once when Jesus had been out praying, one of his disciples came to him as he finished and said, “Lord, teach us a prayer to recite[a] just as John taught one to his disciples.”And this is the prayer he taught them: “Father, may your name be honored for its holiness; send your Kingdom soon

you ask the Father and say these things through Jesus name, you never direct your prayer to Jesus

I am Trinitarian, and have no issue with praying to the Father in the name of Jesus, but Jesus himself forgave people of their sins and stated that he has the power to forgive sins.  He is our great high priest, so yes, you can ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and yes, he can do so.  Again, I am not "Jesus only."  I am Trinitarian.  I also would baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but if someone chooses to baptize in the name of Jesus, I don't believe that it is of no value.  Bottom line is that I disagree with you.

So because your trinitarian you would pray to the Holy Ghost as well? please, can you give scriptures to any one ever praying to Jesus or the Holy Ghost? I look to Jesus as my example in what I should do he is our model in whom we should try to be like and he never prayed to Jesus.

While Jesus is teaching in the crowded room, four men bring a paralyzed man on a stretcher. They want Jesus to heal their friend. Yet, because of the crowd, they cannot “bring him right to Jesus.” (Mark 2:4) Imagine how disappointing that is. They climb up onto the flat roof of the house and make an opening through the tiles. Then they lower the stretcher holding the paralyzed man down into the house.
Does Jesus get angry at the interruption? No, indeed! He is deeply impressed by their faith and says to the paralyzed man: “Your sins are forgiven.” (Matthew 9:2) But can Jesus actually forgive sins? The scribes and the Pharisees take issue with this, reasoning: “Why is this man talking this way? He is blaspheming. Who can forgive sins except one, God?”—Mark 2:7.

Knowing their thoughts, Jesus says to them: “Why are you reasoning these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and pick up your stretcher and walk’?” (Mark 2:8, 9) Yes, based on the sacrifice that Jesus will in time offer, he can forgive the man’s sins.
Then, Jesus shows the crowd, including his critics, that he has authority to forgive sins on earth. He turns to the paralytic and gives the command: “I say to you, Get up, pick up your stretcher, and go to your home.” And the man immediately does that, walking out carrying his stretcher before the eyes of all those present. The people are amazed! They glorify God and exclaim: “We have never seen anything like this”! Mark 2:11, 12.

It is worthy of note that Jesus mentions sins in connection with sickness and that forgiveness of sins can be linked to physical health. The Bible teaches that our first parent, Adam, sinned and that all of us have inherited the consequences of sin, namely, sickness and death. But under the rule of God’s Kingdom, Jesus will forgive the sins of all who love and serve God. Then sickness will be removed forever. Romans 5:12, 18, 19.

TO WHOM DID JESUS TEACH US TO PRAY?
Jesus both taught and showed us to whom we should pray.
When one of his disciples asked Jesus, “Lord, teach us how to pray,” Jesus replied: “Whenever you pray, say: ‘Father.’” (Luke 11:1, 2) Further, in his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus urged his listeners to pray. He said: “Pray to your Father.” He also reassured them by saying: “Your Father knows what you need even before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:6, 8) On his final night as a human, Jesus told his disciples: “If you ask the Father for anything, he will give it to you in my name.” (John 16:23) Jesus thus taught us to pray to the one who is both his Father and our Father, His God, and our God. John 20:17.17 Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me,[a] for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

HIS EXAMPLE: In line with the way he taught others to pray, Jesus personally prayed: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.” (Luke 10:21) On another occasion, “Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me.’” (John 11:41) And as he was dying, Jesus prayed: “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” (Luke 23:46) In praying to his heavenly Father—the “Lord of heaven and earth”—Jesus set a clear example for all to follow. (Matthew 11:25; 26:41, 42; 1 John 2:6)

Becuase the Bible does not say that "we can't pray to Jesus" doesn't make it right to do so, nor does the bible say: "we can't look at porn" so in a sense that it makes it ok to watch it. But we look to Bible on what it teaches not what it doesn't. It's about how we worship that pleases God, and he Jesus gave the example of how we should pray. I gave you scriptural examples on what the bible teaches. Now if you can't give scriptures, does that make it ok? No, Then you have to come to the conclusion that it is wrong to pray to Jesus. My question to anyone where is the scripture that says it's ok? We must teach from the bible like Jesus does with his famous words, which is: "It is written" Jesus taught us how to pray why would you go away from his commandments and teachings?

You are comparing praying to Jesus to looking at porn???   You have got to be kidding!  You stated we are not allowed to pray to Jesus, and I guarantee that you cannot produce any scripture that says that, so you come up with this ludicrous comparison.

When I pray, as a general rule, I begin with "Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus."  That is what I do when I am in the prayer closet and making requests.  I will often pray the Lord's Prayer, where we ask God to forgive us our trespasses.  No problem there either.  At the same time, I will sometimes talk to Jesus like I would a friend, which is a type of prayer.  I do believe I can confess my sins to Jesus and he can forgive them, because we have examples of him forgiving sins in the Bible and he said he has the power to forgive sins.  I would normally baptize in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, as Jesus said to do that, but in Acts, it mentions baptizing in the name of Jesus.  Therefore, both are ok.  I have spoken directly to the Holy Spirit when I have a question about the meaning of something in scripture.  Remember that Jesus said he was returning to the Father, but he was sending us the comforter who would lead us into all truth.  I therefore have asked the Holy Spirit, who is with me and all other Christians for help understanding things, and he has given me answers.  That is a type of prayer.

You gave me no scripture as far as I am concerned.  I have no idea what you were quoting from but it wasn't the Bible.  It was some weird commentary or paraphrase, but it wasn't from a real Bible.  It was such a perversion, I didn't recognize it at all.  You say "Truth is Power."  Here is truth.  There is an assault against the true Word of God through perverted versions of scripture, and I reject all of them, and only accept what is found in the KJV Bible.  If you want to debate what is truth, we might as well add that into the mix, but before we do, let me point out that this is not a debate thread.  A person was looking for advise on a serious matter.  I gave him advise and you turned it into a debate.  We can both agree on one thing.  We both agree it is fine to direct our prayers to the Father in Jesus' name.  There is no controversy there, so in order to prevent this from getting out of hand and turning into yet another unfruitful doctrinal fight, I am willing to suggest that when I said he should pray to Jesus and ask his forgiveness, he should ask the heavenly Father to forgive his sins in Jesus' name.  I still don't think it really matters, but I am willing to let it go for the sake of a person who was seeking help so as not to cause unnecessary confusion.
