But I did make a small error I'll correct right here. The Greek word translated twice in Rev 3:10 as 'keep' is the word, 'tēréō'. The definition from a Greek dictionary is: I keep, guard, observe watch over. Usage is as follows: maintain (preserve); (figuratively) spiritually guard (watch), keep intact. Jesus is telling us we will be preserved and kept intact while spiritually guarded. Rev 3:10, "Because you preserved my call to endure, I will preserve you by a spiritual guard from the trial..." There is nothing in this verse about prevention or immortalization. I could write this a dozen different ways and never change the core meaning; "Believe me and I will keep you safe no matter what!"
