He won competitions and was expected to represent his country in the olympics (which is the first time surfing will be in the olympics) so he is pretty much considered an expert surfer.

His last words are rather ironic.

Yeah. best and last . I hope he was reborn again in the spirit.

Please, let's all be praying for Florida.  After what we went through here in Texas I just don't want to see that happen again.  Looks like it's going to though.

It weakened more than they expected over Cuba so some of the predictions did not pan out.  That is a occasion for celebration, not bashing the news

I saw photos of entire neighborhoods in naples, florida, where they water was up to the roof. I dont know how tall those homes are, but my ceilings are 10 feet high.

I dont know where it was posted, but @MorningGlory commented that mexico is sending aid to hurricane victims here.

Mexico withdrew the aid. They felt they didnt get enough sympathy from trump regarding their quake so they reneged.

That's weird, all the stories I read said that the assets and resources that were going to be used to help Texas are now being used to help the earthquake and their own hurricane victims.

But I suppose a little old 8.1 earthquake is not really a good reason not to give your limited resources to a different country.
