Today is the difference between, the days of old, in an age which great men have some Improvements, the adjective is to

City is in turmoil
The very look on their faces gives them away. They display their sin like the people of Sodom and don’t even try to hide it. They are doomed! They have brought destruction upon themselves.
Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!
But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.
Isaiah 3:9-11 (NLT)

"And I have seen the folly in the prophets of Samaria: They prophesied by Baal And caused My people Israel to err.
Also, I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem: They commit adultery and walk in lies; They also strengthen the hands of evildoers, So that no one turns back from his wickedness. All of them are like Sodom to Me, And her inhabitants like Gomorrah.
Jeremiah 23:13-14 (NKJV)

As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Likewise, also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

Romans 1:28-32 (NKJV)

Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms, the flower of Chaldean pride, will be devastated like Sodom and Gomorrah when God destroyed them.

The two types of cities are Sodom and Gomorrah

The angels that forsook their place and took for themselves human females that bore children.

Now that is what makes the Lord really angry and His anger is focused on these and other angelic misdeeds that often included foolish humans.

Check out the purges that Israel was ordered to do. And why. Understand it was the SEED that Satan and his henchmen were after.

Thus the flood to get rid of the abhorrent things that the fallen ones had perpetrated. To preserve the DNA for Yeshuah's birth.

Much evil has been laid at the feet of God. The ONE who came to save us all.

Why on earth would we want to think He is an angry God? That does not add up to me.
I see and hear a lot of rhetoric about God's character, and wonder at it after all He has done for us.

Yes, God can not look upon that [which is not perfect] or sin. That is why Yeshuah was slain from the foundation of the world.
God's character is love, hard love, and tough love - but not hatred or anger at the humans He created. His kids.

Sure we all sin, and fall short of His Glory. Hence His birth, death and resurrection to put it all right for those that choose to believe on Him with that measure of faith that was given to them along with their individual spirits.

God's theme is redemption, salvation and eternal care for His people. Not anger, not hatred, not condemnation.

However, if we do not accept His offering of Freedom on His Terms, then we stand already condemned because we decided not to believe.

For God so loved the world... John 3:16.

Yeah? What about the wrath of God? Slaying with the sword of His mouth? Destroying the armies of the earth? God does exhibit anger. We are made in his image and that does not mean just the physical.

The image of God that we were created in was distorted and damaged by sin. Unlike us, God is complete, perfect and whole, untainted by sin or the effects of it that make us lash out unjustly or prematurely. What that means for this discussion is that when God gets angry, it is a righteous anger without fault or Him "jumping the gun". When He acts, it is necessary and timely; God is never "too soon" or "too late".

If you think God is simply anger and just wants to destroy, keep in mind two things:

1) God's power is so awesome, that He brought all of creation into being by speaking.

2) God has put up with humanity since after the Garden of Eden; He didn't have to let Noah and his family live, let alone all the animals He had Noah bring aboard the Ark.

The fact is: God has been holding back for at least the past 6,000 or more. If you think He's angry now,  just wait until the Great White Throne Judgment.

I have no idea what you mean. Why put words in my mouth? I didn't say God was ONLY anger. What I said was we are made in the image of God and that doesn't mean just the physical. The spirit of man is from God. If we experience a range of emotions then God experienced all those first as the originator of those emotions. And just because mankind cannot control their actions due to emotional pressure does not mean God is subject to the same lack of control. Anger is still anger whether applied righteously or not, timely or not.

And God has applied His great anger several times in the past.  Been talked out of destroying His own people by Moses. His anger was mitigated by Abraham to no avail. David was punished in the anger of the Lord. God threatened the King that took Sarah from Abraham. Current believers are warned several times in Rev not to transgress or they will suffer.

Ignoring some of the attributes of the Lord is no way to understand who He is.

Yes, God exhibits anger.  His anger, or wrath, comes after people continually, persistently reject His calls to repent.  However, He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they would turn from their wicked ways and live.
