When God kicked man out of the Garden of Eden & then posted an angel there to guard it- I must ask? ...why would we want to locate it? Does that not seem like disobedience to you? If God wanted man to know, we would know. The fact that God placed an angel there is Probably the reason the location remains hidden from us. I personally am not trying to find it. But men hunt for destroyed cities, the Ark, and all sort of things pertaining in some way to history. i do not think it is disobedience to look for history; it could be depending on what is done after something is found though. There are mysteries in the bible that were not discovered for years they were hid. was man disobedient to unravel those hidden mysteries?

Eden predated the flood. The flood significantly changed the shape of this world. Likely eden was wiped out.
