And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.Rev.22:19

It used to be that anyone who ate fat or pork was detestable to God.  God put people to death for working on the Sabbath.

What was detestable then is sometimes approved of now

Matthew 5:17
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

Righteousness through Faith
…30since there is One God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullifythe Law by this faith? By no means! Instead,we uphold the Law.

Berean Study Bible

Romans 2:20
an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and truth--

The big picture is that,

When Adam was out of Eden, humans are no longer living inside God's realm. Humans are put outside God's realm where Satan has a deep influence. If Adam failed the Law when he's in Eden with God, it is thus expected that humans when put outside God's realm won't be able to keep the same Law which both Adam and Satan broke. This point is proven through the period from Adam to Noah. It simply means that no humans can be saved through God's Law (the set of Law which both Adam and Satan broke).

Then Noah was given the first covenant. A covenant simply says, "since you humans won't be able to keep God's Law to its full, you are give a set-aside set of laws such that if you can observe the given laws you will be saved through Jesus Christ". It is so because each and every covenant is granted based on Jesus' sacrifice to be occurred 2000 years ago. It means each and every human is possible to be saved via a covenant. If he can abide by what the covenant says, he thus will be saved.

So what left is what will happen to those before Noah? By the verse the OP quoted, it hints that somehow those humans are saved through the New Covenant, the same covenant applicable to today's humans. The Bible doesn't give further details though.

The dead after Noah are simply the dead. If the truth of the New Covenant is not fully revealed to them, it's humans own fault. They are will be judged by an older covenant applicable to them. God's job is to grant the New Covenant by the blood of Jesus Christ, all left is for humans to spread (preach) the message as widely as possible. It only took less than a century for the news to reach the whole of Roman Empire, even under certain resistance. So if the message hasn't reach a certain ethnic group of humans, it only means that it's rejected by that group of humans at some point. Then the judgment will be in accordance to an older covenant applicable to them. To the Jews, the older covenant may be the one God granted to Moses. To us gentiles, our older covenant may well be the one granted to Noah.

The old testament forbids summoning spirits as necromancy to get hidden knowledge.

The Scripture forbidding such practices are OT Scriptures.  The OT forbids a lot of things that we don't follow as Christians.

The new covenant made clear that much of what was forbidden is now sanctioned.

There is nothing in the New Testament that says we can't contact other members of the body of Christ.

When a person dies they do not cease to be a member of the body of Christ.  We are one body, therefore connected to the Church in Heaven.

Suit yourself.

This Scripture kept playing in my head today and it felt like Jesus was telling me that many confused people will have the truth fully presented to them after death , and they will be given the opportunity to accept or reject it.

The Bible doesn't say that.  Jesus is not preaching an evangelistic sermon to them and nothing in the text indicates that they were or even could be saved.

You have this life and after this life, there are no more chances.

Yes, they do.  The "body of Christ" is a metaphor for the Church on earth and is used to illustrate our use of the spiritual gifts in ministry here.   They are saved an in heaven, but they are not the "body of Christ"  in heaven.   Sorry, but your theology is way off.

There is nothing in the NT that teaches us that we can contact them in heaven.  And there is nothing they can do for us that we don't already receive from Jesus.   Focus needs to be on Jesus not believers who have passed away.

Many people do not know they are rejecting the truth.  Jesus said," if they did not know, they would not have sin".

Anyway, this Scripture gives me hope for the lost.

No it's not talking about redeeming people who are burning in hell , hell is end and no escape and no way out to God , it's eternal punishment .

This is talking about when Jesus died and was 3 days in Abraham Bosom preaching to all these Old Testament saints who were here which kept good commandments and had good enought life to get there .

Abraham Bosom - Luke 16:23 ( Abraham and Lazarus can see dead rich man in hell , so they are next to each other but can't pass from one place to another ) .

1 Peter 3:19 - Jesus preached to spirits in prison

Price has not been paid for people to go to heaven before Christ died , if Christ death was not required for people to go straight to heaven then he would not need to come and die on cross for everybody 1 Peter 2:2 .

John 3:13 - nobody ascend to heaven before Christ

Matt, we are told that we are to die once, then we will face judgement (Hebrews 9:23-28).  There is nothing in these word to indicate a second chance after death.  I believe you are looking for what you would like to see and this is blinding you to the real truth.  There is no purgatory where we suffer for a time and then cleansed.  There is no place where we sit and be taught.  Once we leave this life, the next thing we will know is standing before God.  If there was a "second chance", then Jesus died for nothing, as others have pointed to.
