It is not good to take too many of those.

Very true, it can mess up your acid balance.

This just sounds bad. I’ll stick with pepperoni and mushrooms.

Yes, pumpkin spice pizza is a thing. And a New Jersey-based chain is to blame

Pumpkin spice cereals, pumpkin spice ice cream, pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin spice creamer, pumpkin spice yogurt.

There is seemingly no end to the pumpkin spice food onslaught this time of year. Some foods, fortunately, have remained untouched. Like pizza.

Oh no, they didn't.

New Jersey-based Villa Italian Kitchen is debuting its Pumpkin Spice Pizza Friday, Sept. 22, the first day of fall. The chain is calling it "the first ever pumpkin spice pizza.''

Let me be the first to say it: Forget all those hurricanes and earthquakes bedeviling the globe; this is a sure sign of the apocalypse. It's bad enough people put pineapple, buffalo chicken and cheesesteak on pizza.

But  now they're defacing it with pumpkin spice?

Villa Italian Kitchen, though, thinks the pizza will be a hit.

Pumpkin spice "is undeniably the most popular flavor of fall,'' Villa Italian Kitchen spokesperson Brian Lowe told Vice.com. "We thought, what could be better than combining the popularity of Pumpkin Spice with pizza? So, after a few R&D sessions, we landed on the perfect Pumpkin Spice Pizza balance. It's a magical place where all the deliciousness of pizza meets the flavors of pumpkin spice."

A magical place? Please stop. Please stop now.

If you must know, the ingredients for this pie include pumpkin pie filling, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, whole milk mozzarella, with dollops of pumpkin spice added atop the cheese.

For what it's worth, I did say Villa Fresh/Villa Italian Kitchen serves up the best pizza in any Jersey mall. So maybe there's hope yet for that pumpkin spice pizza.

Villa Italian Kitchen, headquartered in Morristown, has 300 locations in 38 states and six countries. New Jersey locations include Edison, Blackwood, Tinton Falls, Newark and Newark-Liberty International Airport.

O my, and just when I thought there was no new way to have Pizza. :)

The local auto parts store is advertising Pumpkin Spice brake pads.  Each time you come to a stop, you're reminded of Pumpkins...

on that note , I think the ol Siamese agrees.   a bird, mouse , heck a small cat if it gets in his way.   A few kicks against him , but they end up as dinner .
