Growing up in central Texas, Jalapeno peppers are like pickles in New Jersey. You can get them on burgers everywhere, or hot dogs, breakfast eggs, barbecue, chicken, a hundred dips, and of coarse, any pizza shop. I read a newspaper article stating a jalapeno a day is healthier nutritionally, than an apple a day. The picture is a chili petine, tiny but deadly hot. My wife grows them for me, as they add color to her flowers. I find them in the wild, they grow like weeds often. (More bang for the buck in one petine than a whole pumpkin, in my opinion.
