Some interesting reasons the Catholic Church added Filoque is that Jesus does mention this: "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26) But the big reason for the Filoque is probably this verse: "Again Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so also I am sending you. And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." (John 20:21-22) "and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." (Luke 3:22) But the Original Nicene Creed comes more from this verse: "But I will send you the Advocate--the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me."
