Satan as "god of this world"?

Just found a quote that explained what "the god of this world" means:

The phrase “god of this world” (or “god of this age” [NKJV]) indicates that Satan is the major influence on the mind-set expressed by the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people. His areas of influence also encompass the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce. The thoughts, ideas, speculations and false religions of the world are under his control and have sprung from his lies and deceptions.

Anyways, some doubts about this quote. Does that mean that school is even influenced by Satan? Every thought is influenced by Satan?

Sorry for being too "scared" or something like that but I've got Scrupulosity.

First of all, of most importance, Jesus came to heal and to save the lost.  Seek Him directly , in person , to be healed. (do not trust the flesh or the carnal world - no matter where He leads you , follow Jesus , and trust Him.  With and without others advice - but ALWAYS depend on the FATHER IN HEAVEN,  through all things, every day.

Second,  yes.  The answer to your question, Yahweh already showed you in His Word.  Yes.  Only Jesus and the FATHER YAHWEH in HEAVEN is able to and can set anyone free and protect and keep anyone free from the influence of the enemy ....
