Hi everyone! I have another question.

Once we are in heaven will we still be sinners? Some Christians argue that only God is perfect, so yes, we will sin in heaven, for we are not, and never will be, God. Others argue that since it is the spirit that wrestles with the flesh (e.g. the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.) the flesh will be remade during the resurrection and the spirit will be joined to the flesh or something to that effect. Anyway, they argue that since all is remade and made new we will be perfect, or at least, we will never again sin against God or make mistakes, but rather we will be perfect as Christ is perfect.

But if that were true, how did Lucifer, who was/is Spirit, rebel and sin against God? Presumably he too was perfect, until his fall from heaven, when he became lifted up in pride. If the angels are perfect and everyone in heaven is perfect, how did Satan sin against God? He was called the "son of the morning".

Hell no *ahem*. We will not be seen as sinners in heaven.

When we are in heaven we will have new, sinless perfect bodies.

1 Cor 15

42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

How did Lucifer rebel and sin against God? We, including God's angels are still created with freewill for only a freewill acceptance or rejection of God counts for anything with Him and it cant be forced. Lucifer was head of the angelic choir, created as close to a god as you can get. He got all puffed up with pride because of his glory and wanted to go all the way. He wanted to BE God.

But we arent God, not even close. Not even when we are with Him again in heaven. We are His children and we will never forget our place.
