I can't see why Retro must deny this possibility.  The time periods given in Daniel and Revelation are just not logical as they are, this change makes them mesh correctly.

It's because moments of inertia are CONNECTED WITHIN THE SAME BODY! To "speed up" the earth's velocity around the sun will do damage to the rotational speed of the earth, as well, and vice versa! God has created this earth with a fragile balance in forces. To add a force of such magnitude as to "give the planet  a push" to complete a revolution around the sun in 360 days instead of 365.2422 days would greatly affect that balance! Why do you think He placed the earth in orbit around the sun at such a distance as 93,000,000 miles? It's because (from our perspective) that the angular velocity of the earth will remain at that 66,660.8 mph! To change the speed around the earth to complete its orbit in 360 days would be to increase its angular velocity by approximately 970.7 mph! How abrupt would that change be if it is being "glanced" by the mass that affects it? Even being "glanced" by a bullet with a very small mass has devastating effects! The earth "weighs" approximately 66.6 sextillion TONS! How much affect would it have on the objects within its "gravity well" if its speed was suddenly increased by 970.7 mph? The jolt would probably leave us dangling in space, freezing to death in the cold vacuum of that space, wondering what just happened!

Look, God gave us great imaginations; that's our greatest advantage in this world! It gives us the ability to see things that don't yet exist and invent them to benefit mankind. We can mix and match various simple machines to make a complex machine that can simplify our lives. We can mix and match the inventions of others to make another invention that will do something entirely different to benefit mankind in a different direction!

It's also our greatest "Achilles' heel!" Imaginations not held in check by our knowledge of reality can lead to disasterous results! Imaginations not held in check by God's righteousness SHALL lead to sin! And, mankind has YET to plumb the depths of depravity of which they are capable, in spite of how bad our world has become!

God's Word is truth. If you're going to use it to springboard into your imagination, MAKE SURE that you're using His Word CORRECTLY! That means DON'T FORGET THE VERSE'S CONTEXT! Be SURE that you are using CORRECTLY the verse as the original author used the verse! That means to check the original language to MAKE SURE that you are using the words to which those original words were translated into English CORRECTLY! And, above all else, draw close to God so that HIS Spirit will guide you into all truth!

So then, Retro, are the plain Words of Isaiah 24:1-20 and Isaiah 13:13, just allegorical? 

Your denial of forthcoming dramatic events is a facet of your imagination; that God can't do whatever it takes to correct the situation the  world is now in again. Just a 2 Peter 3:1-7 says: deniers will come, they forget how God changed the anti-diluvian  world and that He will do it again by fire.
