Makes one better appreciate the idea of having a plan and a to go box.

The first  California wildfire I was in was the BellAir fire way back when, in 1961. I was  just below the Griffith Park observatory.  Whole hillsides would just light up in flame all at once. Flames were hundreds of feet high. The Santa Ana winds just drove sparks through the air for miles it seemed and one after another whole areas lit up.

This world is a rough place to be riding on isn't it? Gets scary at times. May  God keep you safe. Be prepared for bad air quality, as well as having documents, some cash, food and water in your quick escape to go box. Include a fire shield foil blanket and a snorkel too.
